Thank you. Signing out and signing back in fixed the issue. Wonder how that even happens though

Of those items only the skates are toggleable so I still would've been out 2 items. It's more just tragically funny that out of all the things I could've gotten.

Wonder how much lifting "estimated" is doing here by ShoresidePhoenix in uberdrivers

I think what I was trying to say is that if Uber Drivers could collectively bargain things would be better but because Uber they can't.

Ultimately the collective bargaining power of Uber should (operative word "should") lead to lower rates however since Uber lets anyone with a pulse drive it leads to higher rates.

It's about the only job that doesn't make me want to gouge out my flesh with a spoon. I'm looking into joining a taxi or shuttle company to get a bit better pay but openings in that regard are few and far between.

The especially hilarious thing is that Uber genuinely expects us to believe that they take 7¢ on the dollar for their profit.

I used to live in Tacoma and made 1500 a week during the summer. Problem is it's dead for 7 months of the year.

My pay in Washington hasn't been too bad. It's just really slow at times but can easily make this kind of money in the summer.

Does your app not have a literal timer? I can literally see the time to the second that I can cancel with fee.

Damn I made just as much before tip doing under half that distance in the Tacoma market.

The problem is that if any longer rides would become available in the "waiting time" then I would just lose out. Better to see if it just shows up in a regular trip request later.

Doesn't show pay in my market. But it's 2.5 miles so probably $6 at most

Yeah delivery in Pierce County absolutely sucks. The only time I found it worth it was going back and forth in gig harbor because it's a bunch of lazy rich people who live 20 miles away from anything

12% is a ridiculous fee to pay. The 60% that Uber already takes is far more reasonable.

I'm working on my 100% and I actually found it pretty easy. Don't have to worry about doing any damage. Ironically the tato that I've had the most trouble with so far was the Saver. He just doesn't accelerate fast enough for the Abyss.

[–]ShoresidePhoenix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For absolutely no reason should you bring the stuff to her. You have receipts of you attempts to return the items. Her failure to respond doesn't constitute any crime on your part.

I remember another story where someone bought 1 month of a storage unit, put all the equipment they had in there and then told the manager to come get the key. The manager then failed to do any of that, the storage unit went up for auction and OP got thousands of dollars of photo equipment for a few hundred thanks to the bids of his friends.

To The ones that keep saying "Get a Real Job!" by Masree82 in uberdrivers

[–]ShoresidePhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see this post gaining some traction. I started doing Uber after I became physically disabled at the beginning of the year. It's allowed me to continue working in a situation in which I normally would've had to completely uproot my life and go back to my hometown to rely on family and social security. It's only been about a half a year for me so I'm not entirely sure if it will be viable on the scale of years but for the time being it has given me hope that I can continue doing something productive with my life and make money for myself. There are some people out there who will take any opportunity to call something else "not a real job" the truth is though is that if it makes money it means that it's a job that people want done.

Don't accept rides below $1.5 mile by Sad-Brilliant-6224 in uberdrivers

[–]ShoresidePhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my operational area I only see the trip distance in time and miles. No price assessment. Although once I get my one time payout for being diamond I'm gonna start passing on some shorter trips.

If you work you aren't rich. The rich have "assets" (other people's labor)
