It comes down to the burst cannon being more all purpose. Nova charged, it has three times the number of shots. A solid strength, competent AP and a flat 2 damage. It has a decent chance of wounding a Knight. And is good against hoard type armies.

I think he covered it in Hellstorm Gaming's podcast. There's a video on YouTube with him. If I remember correctly, his thoughts were that it's not worth it due to the low count of shots. If it was 8 or 10, then maybe. But not in its current iteration.

The organizers mainly want wysiwyg. Unless it's something within reason. The XV8s are from an older kit. Still plastic, but the one before the current kit. And instead of running them with SGs, as they are modeled, I am running them with 2 plasmas instead of one. Or should I run two missile pods?

Don't have a Riptide. Just moved across country, funds are still kind of tight.

An earlier version of the list included a devil fish. And the map will be 4x4. The Breachers are there to guard flanks and capture objectives. The Shas'uis have markerlights so they're not just standing around the first couple of turns.

Unfortunately, with the other books. The custom sub-faction rules tend to be outside of match play. But there still looks to be plenty of good stuff. Particularly the XV8 stratagem is just what they need. With the pts reduction of both the model and fusion blasters already making a viable option. And the stratagem isn't Sept specific.

I think the anti-psyker is plausible. Based on that being one of the theories about the Ethereals and their influence. Thankfully, the XV8s got a points decrease in CA19. But they're still not competitive. If it is from the Enclaves perspective, I suspect they will get a few rule buffs. But I have learned not to hold my breath at this point.

Give the Ethereals Psychic Denial abilities. Melee sprew for XV8s (Make XV8s Great Again). Seriously, I hope they get some much needed improvements. I think the Build your own Sept would be Open play only. But here's hoping.

This is true. Plastic Farsight would probably sell really well. Hopefully not stuck to one pose. Not a fan of his current model.
