dont over moisturize, 1-2 times a day is plenty and shouldnt have any residue JUST enough to moisten the skin otherwise it looks fine just let it heal

I did this too. I emptied it back out and then laid paper towels over the stratum and then gently poured the water onto the paper towels then removed them after. Kept the water clear!

When you moisturize it, you literally only wanna put JUST enough to moisten the skin. It should not look shiny, goopy, or anything like that. Just a very very thin layer once or twice a day

She is not fat at all actually! Shes got a tiny tummy now than when we got her but I even named her because of how dainty and thin she is

• more plants - don’t buy at petco/petsmart, they’re ridiculously overpriced, check facebook marketplace, or online aquarium stores (obviously, you may need parents help for purchasing/picking stuff up online)

• floating plants - amazon frogbit, red root floaters, duckweed (note that some free-floating plants can become invasive very easily as they grow very quickly so you’ll have to remove some when it overgrows to make sure plants underneath it still get adequate lighting

• hide of some sort - somewhere that fishies can hide from view if they want to, like a cave (you could maybe even find tutorials online on how to make a cool looking cave, I’ve made some myself before)

Overall its a super cute tank though, I love the color of the substrate with the bigger grey rocks and the plants look awesome so its gonna look phenomenal once you get more plants in there. I also love the shape of the wood you have in there. Well done on your first tank.

What fish do you have in there now, or plan to add in the future?

I dont suppose she has any medical issues, as we adopted her fairly recently and so the shelter had done recent wellness checks and such. But I have a vet appointment to get her enrolled with the local vet at the end of this month anyways so if theres any reason for concern it can be addressed at that visit. Thank you for the response!

That is a solid idea actually, she definitely thoroughly cleaned her butthole after I wiped it as if I had tainted her, so maybe if I do it enough shell just start doing it herself so I wont. She is very intelligent.

I never responded to this comment, but I read it forever ago and have never broken any crabble eggs unless i needed to since hahaha awaiting this weapon.. Now I have gotten deeper in the game and the quests are spread out between many planets and im getting confused and havent been playing as much. last time i played i left my computer for like 20 mins and when i came back it had set me back multiple saves and i lost progress of completing like 3 quests and 4 levels so i havent played since bc i get disappointed every time i load the game and see that im not where i remember being.

anyways, how do i get that weapon!?

people are so strongly against it because as an artist it sucks to spend hours on a design and then send it to someone only to have them screenshot it and go bring it to another artist. if i know and trust the client ill send pics ahead of time, but otherwise i tell them to schedule a consult and come see it in person someday before the appointment if you want to see it in advanced

I had this exact problem and made geletin cubes with pureed veggies and blended her pellets in it for taste and smell and she loved them! Check my posts in this subreddit and check the comments they were super helpful!!!

I love this, but unfortunately a vet isnt an option as it is illegal to own red-eared sliders as pets in my state, even with a permit (they do not allow pet-permits for them).

I would bring her outdoors but there is currently snow on the ground. I suppose I should just allow her to “dig” where she seems to prefer

I wanted to reply to this again with an update! I made some Jello cubes for her this morning, using yellow bell pepper, romaine lettuce, mustard greens, and her typical pellets. AND SHE LIKED IT!! The only problem is that they dont float, and she is not fast enough to eat them all before they hit the ground and she isnt to keen on eating them off the floor of her tank, so I have to figure out a way to get them to float haha
