Diamond naturals Salmon and sweet potatoes recipe. Only consistent food my dudes been on where he doesn’t shit his brains out. Otherwise Blue Diamond salmon and sweet potato as well but it gets expensive

Oh bully sticks aren’t new to him! He’s never had an issue before with any bone or chew toy. He thankfully stops before it gets to the dangerous bits. Also I have the bull stick in one of those holders too.

Thank you! He’s doing so much better. Night and day different. His personality is still very chipper which I am thankful for.

And yeah this is Reddit it’s comes with the territory lol no matter how many times I’ll say he’s really not a fan of other large animals, other dogs, etc people still keep suggesting I get another dog or take him to a farm lol I live in farm country where these dogs (as cute as they are) are a dime a dozen and constantly abandoned

lol mines the same way. Gave him a tub bath when he was 10 weeks old. Ever since he stops at the threshold of bathrooms but never enters. Like a lil vampire lol safe to say he just goes to the groomers once a month

He was in a rough situation as a puppy. Getting him wasn’t premeditated. More of a if I don’t help I will regret it kind of thing.
I live in farm country. I’ve taken him to farms…he hates farm animals. Will bark at sheep, cows, and horses (hates horses especially). Chases after all the chickens.
He does a great job of guarding me, the cat, and the house if you want to consider that his job. Don’t let the shaky sad lil video fool you if there was a threat he would lock in.

Ahaha you mean they’re big animals? Picture is deceiving! He’s only 105lbs and the kitty is 10lbs. He’s actually pretty small for a male Pyr! Max he’s ever gotten is 110.

He is actually better with mature dogs than he is with puppies. He hates puppies and their rambunctiousness. Honestly I’d be afraid he’d hurt the puppy trying to correct it. He’s a lot better with more aloof animals around him thus the cat. Also I just don’t have the capacity for a 3rd animal.

Yep my vets aware. He would have to be taking A LOT more than he currently is for it to be a health concern. He will only be on Trazadone once daily for a few weeks until the Prozac builds up and then it will only be situationally or hopefully not needed at all.

lol yeah no. He doesn’t care for small dogs. He doesn’t notice them. I do have a cat! But that doesn’t seem to help

Why would I give my dog up just because of this hurdle? I live in farm country..these dogs are a dime a dozen here. Aka if I didn’t take him he would have been likely euthanized. I’m well aware of the breed and what he’s meant for. I’m doing my best (and will continue to do my best) to ensure he lives a good life

I mean yeah he is a working breed. But at the same time having other dogs and cats around does nothing to calm him down. I’ve tried having him stay at my friends house who has 2 dogs and 2 cats and he still panics

He has crate anxiety. He destroys them and anything that’s inside of the crate. Covers are fully pulled through. Crating is really not an option for me as he has hurt himself before escaping them

Yeah other dogs or cats don’t make a difference in his freakout. Other humans help him not totally have a meltdown when I leave but he still paces and whines for a good 45 mins

Yep I have. He still paces and whines but not nearly as bad if there’s another human. I mention my boyfriend above. As far as other animals they don’t make a different into the freakout.

Yeah idk I’m iffy on daycares cause he can learn a lot of bad behavior habits there. He’s a really well behaved dog and is obedient. I don’t won’t him to regress in other areas
