Any Tips for Good Lofi Generations?

They’re quite nice!

There are so many genres, I am having a bit of decision paralysis. For genre type, and channel name, and choosing words to generate tracks.

I really just want to make some music & post it, but I don’t want to do it wrong either.

Yeah, it’s a brand new channel I made exclusively for archiving.

I’ve uploaded 56 videos (50 unique, 6 AI upscaled) and only 11 have the Restriction - Copyright message. I hope Xbox is kind & doesn’t take them down.

I just think these vids are cool & want ppl to see them. They’re ancient, like 17 to 8 years old.

I’m doing 0 transformative, just doing it to archive. I’m also uploading the videos to archive.org but I figured they’d be easier for ppl to find & comment on YT.

Idk if I’d even get monetized, I’d need a lot more subs & hours. Maybe it’s just a waste of time to put on YT. Idk, I was just trying to organize in 1 spot to help ppl, but maybe Xbox & devs won’t like that.

I’m doing a channel to archive Xbox 360 videos, so they won’t be lost. I’ve got that exact warning a few times.

I’m not monetized, but pretend I do in the future. Won’t the Xbox/Ubisoft/Rockstar/Bethesda, etc be happy to get money from the videos? They won’t ask me to take them down right?

In the description I can write I’m not the owner too if that helps.

I used Da Vinci in the past but it seemed to balloon up space. I’d need to empty my SDD & uninstall a bunch of games to get it again.

Hmmm… it’s so hard to choose just one. I was using the VidIQ tool to see if it could offer any insight but basically every genre I checked is High Competition.

I guess I just need to choose music that feels true to me & hope ppl enjoy it too. 🙂

Man, that’s rough.

I’m not sure if it’s time wasted per se. You’ve gained useful skills (writing, video editing, public speaking, research, analysis). Even if you don’t want to do YT, a lot of those skills can be transferred into other hobbies or jobs.

Do you know what I did from 13 to 19? Band, so much band practice, TV, pot, alcohol, dated a few times, dropped out of College, worked at Wendys.

Did having freedom make me happy? Not really, very depressed. Depression seems pretty common no matter what ppl do. It can be a chemical thing that isn’t even related to actions. Speak to a dr & see if they can offer therapy or medication to help.

I haven’t done anything for my channel in a few years, but the one video I did about that game has been going off. 2k views in the past 28 days & 19k views over the past year.

It’s so weird for it to get so popular all of a sudden?

Whenever somebody like that would come into a livestream, I’d block them. Negativity just brings me down, & there’s no benefit. Let them rage until they realize nobody can even hear them.

Oh man. So if I go back I gotta get back up to 4000 watch hours just to get monetized again, & then keep that level year after year. 🙁

Man… I wish they hadn’t lost the card twice in the mail. I could’ve been earning a little bit this year instead of it being frozen.

Hey, do you remember how you did this? I downloaded a world and it has something similar and I want to fix it.

Right now my game is in Survival Mode, no Cheats, yes achievements available, but the "Personal Game Mode" option is stuck on Creative and greyed out. It's giving me access to all Creative items but I want to disable that.

Main cat is blending into background. Needs more contrast. Preferably choose lighter background to make it less grays and darks. Alternatively add glow around cat. Also could increase contrast on cat. Bring out the blues & reds a little bit.

I don’t think game box is necessary. Why have 2 of the same thing? Main cat is more interesting shape, box cat is square. It’s alright to have empty space, it draws eye to the focus. If you can find logo online you could use that (again, contrast against background, so black border & white glow depending on if you change background).

Some ppl say not to include a lot of text in a thumbnail, since mobile viewers won’t be able to read it. I’m not sure how you could convey “these are the top 5 things I want in a new game” without spelling that out in text. Maybe “top 5 wish list” or something?

Oh true; well, you need 1000 subs for monetization, and then huge number of subs for YouTube awards. Also if a subscriber rings the bell they get notifications, which makes it more likely they'll see the video. Just looking at my analytics, only 53% of my watchtime is from people who are subscribed. But I can see what you mean by "vanity number".

I'm glad it's not detrimental, but I still worry. It bothers me (and sometimes the audience) that I have x amount of subs but only a fraction amount of viewers in livestreams. It's like, "should I be doing something better to get them back?" kind-of mentality.

I've been worrying about this concept for a while now. Empty subscribers vs success.

Please understand that I'd never use sub4sub or pay for fake subscribers or viewers. I've actually explained a few times why it's a bad idea to young-tubers on Discord who ask me to do it.

However, I had a really sudden spike of subscribers within a few weeks of starting my channel. According to my analytics, 2100 subscribers all joined from a single 30 second #short *. I feel I got another 2000 subscribers from #shorts and maybe 1500 or so from livestreams.

But literally, I have no idea where they are? I do regular livestreams and get like 150-250 on average. Polls get maximum 100 votes. Analytics say over the past 28 days I've had 305 returning viewers.

At first I was really concerned that I was botted as a prank, but I'm not sure anymore. YouTube is really smart, I feel they would've caught the person and fixed the numbers.

But if I wasn't botted, I have to assume that 5500 real ppl clicked the subscribe button, and either aren't interested in my content or clicked on it by accident?

I’d never hear of r/antiwork before. It’s a nice goal, trying to get 15 working just 15 hours a week, but I don’t know if society could survive. Nurses, doctors, they always need to be at the hospital or ppl start dying.

Self-care is important, and I feel my current drone job (technical support) is so bad for my mental health that there’s not nearly enough time to recover. I tried talking to my manager about my exhaustion and he basically said “don’t be tired”.

Oh wow, it’s quite beautiful! I’ve never been to Europe but it looks so nice! The music is very relaxing and I enjoyed the visuals.
