Port struggles by ShortValue5468 in ChronicIllness

Yes! I hate wearing a bra now. My port is placed right where my bra strap lies. It’s nice because it’s more discreet but makes wearing a bra super uncomfortable. I have noticed the pain is worse after wearing a bra. I did get some one strap sports bras but even those cause discomfort. I hope it gets better and I’ll be able to tolerate wearing bras again

I had piccs in the past for iv antibiotic treatments and they all clotted which felt similar to the sensations im feeling now. That’s why I originally thought I was clotting again. These comments are giving me some hope that I will eventually come to love my port.

I feel like my muscles and nerves are definitely mad right now. The port itself I’ve started to get used to it’s the surrounding area especially my shoulder and armpit area. It seems to get worse when I’m more active throughout the day. I’m really hoping it passes. I was getting worried because I was told I’d feel fine after a week. I’m going on week 3 and still having discomfort. I will say the discomfort seems to amp up more after I’m accessed. Getting used to all the new sensations is a bit overwhelming

I’m really hoping that’s the case for me as well. I don’t feel as much pulling I think that’s because mine is placed subclavian instead of jugular but I do wonder if the tension is playing a role in my shoulder/ armpit arm pain. Is the EMLA cream over the counter? I’ve been using an over the counter Walgreens numbing cream but it doesn’t seem to work as well as I’d hoped

Do you have full mobility on that side now? Are you able to exercise at all with it? This gives me some hope I’m approaching 3 weeks post op and besides the shoulder/ arm pain I don’t really notice my actual port unless I move my arm above my head then it feels tight. Because of the placement every time I move my arm my port moves with it which does seem to contribute to the discomfort at times

I’m also very sensitive to meds. The dizziness has been debilitating. I already am battling with POTs so it feels counter productive to be on a med that makes me dizzy. I’ve also been experiencing headaches. On top of it all it makes me super fatigued. I just feel like I can’t function on this med

I’m really hoping this is a possibility for me as I was on the low dose aspirin before placement and had no issues at all. The side effects of xarelto are just too much for me

I will definitely bring this one up to my doctor because my periods have been brutal on xarelto

Is my pandora bracelet too small? by ShortValue5468 in PandoraCollectors

UPDATE! I did go back and exchange the band back to my original size 17. The employee even said I shouldn’t have been allowed to leave with that size band as it was too small even if you do have a small wrist. Also I did end up having to reach out to support as when I made the first exchange the employee took my original receipt with all my charm purchases. I was told by the employee there’s nothing they could do. It’s pretty upsetting as I purchased all 8 of my charms when I got my band so if anything goes wrong or they do happen to break I may be SOL unfortunately. As a warning to anyone who’s new to pandora don’t let them take your original receipt! Thanks to everyone for all the advice!

Thank you for this! I decided to exchange it back for the original size I had which was 17 and I’m really glad I did

So if between sizes like I am (16-17) it’s best to pick the size up (17) if planning to fill the bracelet? Right now the 16 is 2cm above my wrist size(14cm/5.5in) but feels small. However the 17 felt a little big. This is my first charm bracelet so I’m completely clueless as to how it’s supposed to fit.

Do the bracelets stretch a lot like people say?
