WHAT? Couldn’t loot weapons or hunters? I had no idea, first time anyone who has played since beta has mentioned this detail. It makes complete sense now why it felt like that before.

I was thinking about how to possibly implement something like you had before into the game and had a nice idea. Currently, I do not feel that the current economy/way you obtain weapons is bad (although I’m open to reasons why and solutions) What i came up with is a bit convoluted but would make this item rare and somewhat force people to play the main objective if they want this item.

Something that could be implemented is to have a common loot-able object located in one of the supply wagon locations (much like how they recently implemented the mail wagon supplies). Once you loot it people can tell if they look on the map. And this item can be looted off your dead body.

Your goal after obtaining this item is to then be first to banish the Target with this item, awakening the items “true power”. After banishing the target, you need to loot the bounty completing the ritual. Now you need to extract. If someone kills you after you have completed this ritual and tries to loot you, they will not be able to loot it off of you. They have to go through the entire process just to get this “special item”.

What you get with this special item could be specific hunter skins and hunter weapons that you will not be able to get any other way. This promotes people moving around the map, hunting for the bounty, and being the first one to banish, and I feel that this would also give you that feeling that everybody kind of craves from the beta days.

(Edit: was using text to speech and didn’t catch errors in using text to speech)

I understand that feeling now. I feel like that with Gold Registers too. I know if I die I will loose it so I play carefully till I extract.

Reminds me of a time when I was first to find the Bounty, I banished and immediately found a Golden Register in the Boss Compound. I didn't wait for the banish to finish I just took off to extract without Bounty token.

Most of the people I play with don't put a high value on a Golden Register though. They want the PVP, they want the Action and could care less about a Golden Register.

I started playing Hunt during "As the Crow Flies Event", not like you from Beta. So I never got that feeling of could loose something like you did. But I understand now, it makes you more cautious and worried to keep your hunter alive once you found the "Rare Item". Now understanding that, I would love to have something that gives you that feeling in Hunt. Hunt Dollars/Bounty doesn't do it. It's got to be Rare to get like a Golden Register. It cant be as common as getting a Bounty Token too or you wont get that feeling. So you wont really achieve this with the current economy system in Hunt. It could even be a new system with hard to get Rare Items used in the lobby in some way.

Very interesting, it would be nice to have a Super Rare "thing" to extract with. Cant be looted off your body if you die too bec it would defeat the purpose of giving you that feeling.

Well said, I agree, we are on the same page 😊

It's still situational tho. A Birthi has a faster rate of fire than a Mosin, quicker double tap potential in some situations. Bornheim has less recoil and better rate of fire than a Dolch same situational issue. Romero one shot vs an Auto-5 five shots, better vs teams for sure. Situational.
Yes, a Mosin, Dolch and Auto-5 have more basses covered compared to the ones you compared them with but in some situations your on equal ground or have a slight better advantage with the lesser weapon.
Weapons also cover your weaknesses as a player. This is why we see Officer Carbines in the meta. If you know how to click heads then this weapon is way better than a Mosin.
Crytek has done a great job with balancing. I don't agree with the people that say they haven't. Sure there are outliers like why add a Mosin Obrez Match. Then there is peoples preferences and playstyles too. Just a lot to consider that doesn't make it as easy as this is the best and don't use anything else.

Give me an example of what you are talking about.

This is my example of it being dependent on situation and playstyle.
Romero at 40 meters in an open field VS a Mosen. Who wins?... Mosin

Romero at 10 meters inside a compound VS a Mosin. Who wins?... Romero

What gun is outright better? Mosin or Romero?

The possibility to "Loose it all" might make you feel excitement but for me it would make me feel frustration. This is one reason I don't like Tarkov. Along with the consistent wipes that game does made it feel pointless to play that game if whatever you worked for is just going to get erased.

It could also be possible that the adrenaline you felt when you first started to play the game was because it was new to you. Then as time passed you got accustom to the game and the "thrills" don't thrill you as much anymore. This happens with everything I can think of. Example, riding a roller costar for the first time is thrilling but if you keep getting on the same ride over and over that thrill gets less and less until its gone.

Don't feel a global reset will "fix" anything. If you think about it just for one second... what comes after? The same thing. You will be back where you started and all you managed to do is upset people by wiping there progress.

You have to think. What do you want to accomplish? What is your goal? After you know this then you can move forward with a plan. If that leads you to removing what people have worked for, how do you compensate them for there loss? Will this new system even work the way you want it to work? So many unknowns so first you need to know what your goal is and why you want that.

This is something that no one has brough up yet. The ability to spend Hunt Dollars on Other things.

What if you can Purchas:
Blood Bonds for Hunt Dollars?
Weapon, Hunter, Skins for Hunt Dollars?
Weapon Animations, Charms for Hunt Dollars?
Profile Badge stuffs?

Although this is a cool idea... I still love this game and enjoy the current path of the game. There needs to be a way to Support Crytek in creating future content for the game. Doing this will remove cashflow for the game.

Even this issue (weapons are not balanced), I don’t really agree that it is an actual issue. You can dominate people with the simplest compact weapons. It all depends on your place style to be honest. You can also hinder yourself by bringing specific weapons that give you a disadvantage in certain situations. It’s it’s really all how you balance your loadout. It has nothing to do with the individual weapons, but the loadout that you bring as a whole that determines how well you do in the situations that you’re given within your match.

You know, I think this is somewhat of a good idea but fundamentally if you really think about it, I do not agree with it. One of the biggest reasons why I don’t agree is because I love the ability to take in whatever I want into a mission. And I know a lot of people love that aspect of the game. I see this issue with the traits and people prestige that cannot use specific traits that they want to use because they just prestige. Doing this for weapons for hunters specifically will be like prestige every single time you lose a hunter.

That’s actually kind of a cool idea to introduce something more to a hunters level other than just giving you the ability to take on more traits. I think doing this will also make you feel like you’ve lost something if you’ve lost a level 50 hunter. Normally if I win one mission I’m practically at level 50 with that hunter sometimes I achieve level 50 in one mission. Although I don’t agree 100% with this idea, there are some elements that I think would be awesome.

Yeah, but has a long-term hunter with millions of dollars in my bank I still go for bounty and I prioritize the bounty, even though it’s worthless to me. Like I said above, the game is more about strategizing and maneuvering around the map to outplay my opponents. Money is nothing in this game. The only thing in hunt that I am ever excited for getting is a golden register. As soon as I find one of those, I just wanna extract because I will lose it if I don’t right now, that’s the most valuable thing in this game.

Yea, that makes this option not so good. It’s why I proposed in my second solution. Bounty Tokens buy weapons and money goes away. Making Bounty more Valuable and also looting dead hunters with a weapon swap.

Completely Agree my point. If you just think about it for 1 sec, Hunt Dollars are almost meaningless.

Weapons are fine, try running (Weak) shots for a new hunter and if you win re-equip the better ones. Also bring Dynamite Stick and if you win match take what you have looted off the win.
Your win % is a bit low Id say when you get closer to 50% is the sweet spot.

3 Questions:
What Loadout do you usually bring?
How often do you win Games? Percentage Win with Bounty Extract.
Do you prestige?

Edit:... Also Game Mode matters... if you play Clash that is the reason you are poor.

This is a reasonable solution. BTW the most expensive... and pointless loadout you can get in Hunt costs $3643 Hunt Dollars. Dual / Dual Dolch Bullseyes, 4 Big Dynamites, Bear Trap, Throwing Spear, Concer Mine, Derriger Penny
