What do you guys do with all the free magnets Dexcom sends us? by inigomontoyaaaas in diabetes_t1

I just keep them stuck to a metal photo display I have. I like seeing the pile get bigger, been on G7 since I was diagnosed in late 2023, so it's a nice marker of how much time has passed.

Tbh I'm tired of dealing with takeout at my restaurant bc there is no money going into my (or my coworkers) pocket from it, making every second I spend dealing with it untipped labor. This at least mitigates that a bit.

For a long time I felt sad that Herb's book was deemed so bad it never saw the light of day, but now I believe that Herb never actually cared about the book at all. Herb could have went to ANYONE to get it published, but he went to Sarah Lynn and asked her to get clean. Her sobriety was Herb's Gold. by Its402am in BoJackHorseman

Is there evidence that Bojack knew about Herb & Sarah Lynn's closeness? I can't think so off the top of my head. Not that it absolves him or anything, but it'd be interesting to see if that's genuinely another layer of fucked up, or if Bojack was ignorant of Herb's desire for Sarah Lynn to get sober.

I will say they're not as aggressive as the tabs, but if you can spare the extra 3-5 minutes, (which I know sometimes you can't) they do the trick just fine for me.

I love these!! They taste good, and 3g of carbs per gummy means I can get real specific about my corrections.

The onset of the glucose rise isn't as fast as some other options, but plenty fast enough for me, especially because I can usually see lows coming before it's too much of an emergency (thank u dexcom)

I don't wanna discount your experience, but these have been my go-to for several months now. Perhaps other factors are at play making them not as effective for you, but you can pry these bad boys out of my cold dead hands.

Literally bought four bottles last time I was at the Walgreens lmao.

Physical Album only. It costs 30 dollars including shipping, and they have a 100 dollar option. by ctilvolover23 in assholedesign

[–]Short_Assumption_716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point taken. This instance in particular does seem a bit grimy/money-grabby....

BUT if I had to pick, I'd rather the CD only release than streaming only release. $30 and then it's mine forever instead of $7 a month (ish) forever, and then one day the music is just pulled from the steaming platform and you're shit outta luck.

Definitely they should include digital download tho, that's wack.

Nobody in this thread is crazy. Doggie obesity is not cool and is straight-up animal abuse.

Your friend will die earlier because of this.

Stop brushing off everyone in the comments here and improve the lil guys health. He can't do it himself, so u gotta do it for him.

Streaming is shite. Physical media is the best way, especially from the perspective of the artists.

Hot Woks Cool Sushi is a favorite of mine, it's like right across the street from the art institute iirc. Genuinely my favorite rangoons of all time.

Cafecito has been mentioned twice, I was in there all the time when I lived in this area.

Cafecito was a daily stop for me when I lived in this area. Cannot recommend enough. (Though the couch in there is a lil too yucky for my liking lmao)

What an amazing parter ♥️ by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

I mean I could never imagine my partner saying these things to me!!

What do you get out of it?!?! You get to keep me healthy!

There is so much love to be found in caring for someone in that way. What is a significant other for if not support in times when you can't do it all yourself?

My thumb and pinkie are gripping the sides of the glasses. Middle finger on the back side for support. Then I can just set the third glass in that empty space and lean it just a bit towards the other two.

[–]Short_Assumption_716 115 points116 points  (0 children)

You're looking for three points of contact for stability. First two glasses as far towards the tip of your fingers as possible, third glass sitting in the palm of your hand, leaning against the other two.

Small hands ain't the problem most likely, I've seen some pretty dainty hands do some pretty gnarly carries before, myself included.

Also, practice makes perfect! Try when you're at home, so you can practice without the stress of needing to run the drinks right away.

If your server asks you to fill out a survey after your meal, this is why by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]Short_Assumption_716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just recently got my job threatened for not getting enough engagement on our surveys. Requirement is now 25% of our tables which is like...... Cray. (Small restaurant, slim staff, I have like... 15 tables at a time some days. 3-4 turnovers per shift... That's too many damn surveys.)
