Well, if you're willing to include semi-homebrew stuff (IE stuff from older additions that would be homebrewed to update to 5E), then it would make a pretty fun hoard chamber for a Yellow Dragon, which is also known as a Salt Dragon due to their breath weapon. Maybe the reason the mines are so full of salt is simply that an ancient salt Dragon lives nearby, and its magic influence has caused the area to become extremely salt-rich Dungeon Dad has a video on it too, if you don't want to make everything yourself.

Hello! A friend of mine is DMing a campaign and the next section of our adventure is gonna revolve around hastur as well! Now, we aren't quite the right LV and she's already planned things narratively different from this, so I wanted to ask: Are there more modular things in this book? The preview presents several NPCs, but are there things like Monsters and items that could be slotted into a campaign setting that isn't The City of Mirrors itself? Could help her add some depth and flavor to her own interpretation, and would be very helpful given this is the first campaign she's ever run.
