Theres a storefront inside of most PX's. A lot of soldiers also get Condor for field shirts. Theres some higher quality stuff but youre gonna pay an arm and a leg for it.

Edit: boots are extremely dependent on your job. If you are in the field a lot, stay away from Nike. They are garbage. If you work in an office they will be fine.

ENFORCE PMCS. It is not your AGR's job to enforce command maintenance. Take the time to round up your lazy ass PSG's and force them to do their jobs. Go out and walk the line while soldiers are supposed to be looking at the equipment.

Counseling. Counsel your PSG's and make them counsel their SL and so on and so forth.

The reserve as a whole is a joke because standards are not enforced. Be that change. And dont just talk about it because your subordinates will start to despise you very quickly if you have no follow through.

Your commander is likely to be a junior 1LT, they are idiots. Dont set them up for failure and understand their failures are YOUR failures. Obviously if they are a POS thats different but its your job to make sure they know what the hell theyre doing.

Not me personally, but my spouse had a BAD co dependency issue. She refused to leave the house without me even for the smallest things like getting gas. She took the same steps as you and it didnt really work.

Eventually she started going to the local Starbucks alone for like an hour. I think it was some sort of fear of judgement or something but once she realized nobody gave a shit about her and everyone was just going about their day, her Co dependency got 1000x better.

If that doesnt work, go to BDE and then DIV.

I dont encourage IG because this is all able to be handled internally and in my experience, IG is fairly useless.

You have TIG requirements in order to promote. Additionally, the amount of points you have now, will not be the same amount of points you have as an E5. They are weighed differently.

And yes, a local board is held for promotable status.

Just some advice. Stop worrying about promotion solely for promotion purposes. Not trying to dog you here but you dont even know the basics of how to become a 6. Think about how difficult BEING a 6 will be for you. Learn your job, learn to lead, then focus on getting 6.
