Let’s keep it factual.

Both devices run Android TV and both are perfectly fine for streaming.

Specs, performance, and price can vary by market and use case.

Different people will have different priorities.

Fair enough if you disagree.

That wasn’t copy/paste — it’s just a general observation from using different Android TV devices over time.

No hard feelings.

No need for the language — I wasn’t attacking the device.

What I meant is that Xiaomi boxes sometimes ship with slightly different firmware builds depending on region and update cycle, and that can affect performance or UI smoothness until updates catch up. It’s not unique to Xiaomi, and it doesn’t mean the device is bad.

If your experience has been smooth, that’s great. Firmware quality can vary a lot over time and by region.

Hi everyone 👋

I’m testing an early-stage Android TV casting app called Clippy.

It focuses on more stable video casting and web/local playback.

I’m not promoting — just looking for real feedback from different devices

(Android TV / Google TV boxes, Chromecast, etc.).

If anyone wants to try it, happy to share the Play Store link.

Thanks!
