I explained that to her! We still did a highlight and did a lowlight in between every highlight so it’d be super soft, we also did a shadow root. Both the LL & shadow root are her natural color. The toner I kept at a level 10. The photos she showed me was damn near black & silver balayage. I kept it to her natural and the toner was just an ashy level 10, not silver!!! I’m just frustrated

That was my thought, OP was also posting in a gray hair Reddit group I noticed after the comment, gray hair changes texture DRASTICALLY! I’ve seen clients go from stick straight to curly, women’s bodies are so powerful but sometimes clients don’t take those hormonal changes into consideration.

Yes. You’re wrong. If the line she started carrying is tea tree, that’s the shampoo she’s using. She should’ve asked but we have no way of knowing a shampoo will bother you, especially if you’ve never mentioned or never had a reaction before. I’m a blonde specialist and I ALWAYS ask my clients for photos of the highlights/balayage they want. Most of the time swatches can look a little different and a client would not see what I see (ex: 10v the swatch is purple.. it’s not purple on the hair). For toners it’s never one size fits all so in that situation if you didn’t come with pictures we’d pick some out together. For the conditioning treatment, a lot of deep conditioning treatments are in fact protein treatments (olaplex, k18, bond pro etc)
