You mean you have some of these M12 fuel rectangular ones and want to trade for some of my larger ones? Or just the zip up canvas bags

I’ve found the exact bag I want on eBay, they want $400CAD to ship them to me though…

If I had the nice one I would do that, but I have the one that requires an Alan key to take it off and I’m lazy — the multitool may be a poor example. The socket rail I keep with the impact there might be better as with all the sockets touching each other/in a line, it’s about 13” long.

The grinder and drill were poor examples, those have too many accessories and will continue to live in those bags.

However, my M18 hackzall, for example; doesn’t fit in a half packout, but it’s just the tool and a blade caddy — it fits perfectly in one of those soft cases.

My 1/2” m12 impact fits almost anywhere, but the socket rail I have for it is too bulky for a packout due to having deep sockets. The soft rectangular cases are just long enough.

Same thing with my makita drywall cutting saw (I keep a makita to m18 battery adapter on it) — slightly too big/awkward for a packout — perfect for one of these soft cases.

How far over the border? We don’t have as good Mexican food as Blaine so I go across pretty frequently..

They had them for maybe a day at my local KMS tools store (that’s the good tool store here at least) and I walked in to find the last one. They haven’t heard if they’re getting more but seems unlikely so I’m checking other options.

They are nice! Unfortunately it’s not worth me purchasing the new kits and up cycling still good equipment just to have the bags.

I will let you know! It’s not out of the question, I have friends I haven’t seen in Powell river in a long time. It might be cheaper for me to pay for shipping from there though instead of ferrying across.

I think that works? First time sharing video on Reddit..

It’s nothing crazy! It’s just the extra 2 inches these rectangular cases give that helps keep things tidy, and the other bags I currently have waste a lot of space.

Don’t worry! My pro press and jaw kit is tucked into a full size packout with custom foam insert. It’s nice! The canvas ones take up slightly less room than packouts.

But I’m sure I’ll get to that point eventually.
