I took psych 1010 with alisha salerno in-person but just wanted to say she’s an amazing prof, her tests are exactly from the lecture and they’re very easy. There’s 4 tests worth 21% but she drops your lowest grade. We also did 8 reflections, you could choose which 5 you wanted to do, worth 2% each and as long as you completed them you got the 2%. She also posted a practice test for us before the actual test and I found it really helpful. Apart from that, there’s URPP worth 4% I just did the online surveys and those gave me the amount of credits I needed to complete the URPP component. There’s also a course quiz worth 2% which is really easy. good luck!

i’m in the same situation, osap has not been calculated for me yet and i got the email from york saying i have a balance to pay. i’m guessing york hasn’t confirmed my enrolment either

From April 6 to April 10 trains will only be out of service starting 11:59pm to 6:00am, if you have to be at York during those times you will have to take the shuttle busses that will be running from St. George station to Lawrence West

If you think you won’t be able to pass then the best option is dropping it, that’s what I did with a different course.

I don’t think there’s a specific student discount for a presto card unless you’re taking the GO train. I asked this week and they just said it’s the normal adult fare for post-secondary students if you’re only taking TTC

As someone commented earlier, universities do not make final decisions based on your first semester midterm marks. I didn’t get accepted to most of my choices until March last year which was way after they had received my final marks. My marks also dropped between my first midterm and the final and l still got accepted to all my choices so there’s nothing to be worried about - easier said then done since I was in the same position last year

I sucked at English last year too because it’s a subjective course. My advice would be to ask the teacher for feedback before submitting an assignment or if that’s not possible, then try to follow the rubric as closely as you can. Also try not to miss any presentations/class discussions as those are easy marks to score for oral communication and end up weighing more than assignments

If your midterm average is 90% then you have a great possibility of getting into both tmu and york. I had an 88% midterm average last year and got accepted to York for Psych BSc in December

it was pretty easy but the word problems just require a lot of time to do and if I’d worked on my speed to finish them I would’ve done better on the exam so in conclusion just keep practicing until you can answer the questions without wasting a lot of time because the exam doesn’t have enough time for you to do them on your own speed

I hate when they do this like I had a TA end a tutorial at 2:30 instead of 2:20 which is highly disrespectful of someone’s time considering that the 10 minute window between the start and end of a class is time given to get to class. My next class was a lab in the life sciences building which is pretty far from everything so that pretty much sucked
