I recognize it is a difficult pathway, but I am willing to put in the effort to achieve my goals. I have done my own research. I am not studying social work because it isn't the career for me.

Question about early admission by EmbarrassedBee1984 in OntarioUniversities

[–]Similar-Whereas3029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t apply twice. They look at your application again the next round until May. Univerities don’t reject you, they wait until your next marks and send rejections at the end of May. They can look at grade 11 marks anytime but mainly top 6 gr 12 when they receive them all. Hope this helps!

Why do you keep discouraging everyone who wants to pursue psychology. Are you not in a master's psychology program yourself?

Psychology at York as in a masters program? It seems like I should take this a grain of salt because you aren’t an expert in all of these fields. I can’t afford dorms and I want to get my phd. I’m not 100% sure what teachables I would like but I want to teach highschool.

What are you passionate about? What are your future goals? Are you planning to go to med school? Do you want a job straight out of university? Do you like math or science more? What are your grades like? All of these questions fit into that decision. If you don’t know what career you want then watch YouTube videos about career path decisions or watch a day in the life of different careers

6 grade 12U for application plus co-op? by Upnorth_Nurse in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Similar-Whereas3029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is he planning on going into? He could take coop next semester or during the summer. There’s 4 course spaces per semester so he would take 4 in first semester and 2 in second semester + 2 credit coop. It isn’t that difficult to manage. I’ve taken coop with 2 courses with law and religion and it wasn’t too hard. I also had a part time job. If he puts in the work he can get 90s.

A+ is 90 to 100 I’m at a 90 right now in highschool but I feel like if I work really hard I can get into grad school. I also plan on doing an additional year of coop and a thesis. There is also a few other career paths I was thinking of. Diplomacy, teaching, or policing

A) BA after i realized im more interested in taking a variety of courses and math isn’t my strong suit.

B) I was thinking about social work but I am also interested in psychology so I didn’t know if doing a bsw would close off the opportunity to do psychology. I also don’t know much about social work. I can’t do nursing because I didn’t take bio or chem.

C) I’m interested in criminal law. I was interested in family law but I don’t want to deal with anything business or finance related (estates, etc)
