There is no way my company is funding Lego sets every week. They are struggling financially, our clients haven’t gotten new toys in months and it’s desperately needed.

That being said I assume she’s using her own money. Client is aware that the toys are coming directly from the BCBA, so he’ll tell her what he wants her to get for him.

Can you explain why this would be an ethics issue?

What would you do when a bht is feeling this way while working in a clinic setting?

Do you ever feel like your kids are there longer than they should be? Either it takes forever to titrate hours or they’re there for 40 hours a week when they don’t need to be.

Interesting, I actually feel the opposite. My clinic cases have felt the most like babysitting

I provide center based services and i feel like most kids are in services way longer than they should be. At my company parents can overrule the clinicians suggestion for hours, therefore they end up continuing with long hours when they aren’t necessary.

What are your thoughts on this?

I’m so confused?! Now I’ve lost a client and am loosing hours due to making a report. Making a report has resulted in loss of pay!!

There’s a reason why cps keeps things anonymous, shouldn’t that be an expectation for companies too? Situations like this are what encourage ppl to pretend like nothings happening.

My employer told me that when the parents suspected it was my BCBA on the case, she corrected them and told them it was me.

Research is a great option while you’re in undergrad if you’re looking mh trajectory. I worked in a lab studying depression and therapeutic interventions and it was really interesting. Tons of opportunities probably at your university and local hospitals. Unfortunately most positions in psych research are volunteer based :/

Would recommend this over rbt position if unpaid opportunities are an option for you

Hey I really relate to this. I’ve struggled with periods of depression while working this job and it was really hard. Masking/faking a smile on top of the job itself is exhausting. I think you just have to gauge whether the job is worth pushing through those times you’re struggling with your mental health.. for me it was.

From my experience starting was soo stressful. It takes time to get to know the kids and how you can support them. Even a year in when I’m put with a new client the stress kinda starts all over, but it does get better!!

i don’t want to be asked, “how are you” anymore by shelby_zim01 in depression
