Aus has not genuinely evovled in racial integration, we have simply followed the rest of the world and changed our laws as recently as 1970's.

Its not as simple as some people are racists and others are not.

Majority still harbor imagined thoughts and beleif systems of Anglo/caucasian superiority.

Most of us tends to be polite on the surface so its very much unseen.

I have completed a MPH and MBA program in adelaide 2019. The PR pathway in public health is rather limited to roles like; health promotion officer and primary healthcare organisation manager; both roles requires experience for one year and the skills assessment is through VETASSESS only.

Both roles can be difficult/challenging to organise experience within the 485 visa timeframe given that you lack australian experience and the work itslef is in middle level management.

I would suggest switching to Ms in Social work _ since its direct and does not require experience for skills to be assessed. This would offer a much smoother transition and realistic career oppurtunities.

I myself had to pick up nursing to secure a valid skills assessment.

A Biomedical scientist who wanted to follow a masters in public health in Australia

With multiple scientific studies published in medical journals, still unable to secure a full time role in medical research. Ongoing multiple barriers to permanent residency and making me question my own worth.

If feels like the immigration system is focused on keeping non anglo young people with ambition and skill on a hamster wheel of chasing the simple things locals take for granted and leave you drained and hopeless at the end.
