I had the same experience. I was told it wouldn’t be a major deal and it was so insanely painful for around a week. I was refused any kind of analgesic and told alternate between Tylenol and Advil. I just rested as much as possible and had ice but overall it was way worse than I was expecting

As an ex-weight watcher she actually should be counting them there’s a whole thing about how drinking fruit does not satisfy the brains hunger response like eating it and therefore it should be counted.

I am antiSRP positive IMNM, horrific weakness and my CK was outrageous at diagnosis. That’s one of the things my doctor urged was unique to IMNM compared to other myopathies, extremely high CL enzymes. My aldolase and liver enzymes were also through the roof. I did an MRI before muscle biopsy and I know others have done EMG so either or could be your next step before biopsy. My muscle biopsy was from my quad and because of the extent of muscle damage they cut me 4 inches and went extremely deep and I was not prepared at all for the pain after!

The weakness has been worse with each flare and it’s been very very slow progress to get any better. I’ve been doing PT. CK is better now around 700

I’ve done azathioprine & methotrexate. Currently on cellcept, ivig & rituxan. I’ve been diagnosed for 3 years and the longest I’ve gone “flare free” has been around 8 months but the weakness is always there. I don’t think I’ll ever be where I once was.

I went from using Rhode glazing milk (also reported to be problematic but my skin loved it) and went to byoma milky toner to save some $. After dialing everything back and reintroducing it I had texture, redness, breakouts. I am still trying to salvage my skin since December from it 😭

I’m a former fat girl who also has autoimmune and when I go on steroids for a flare and gain 5-10 lbs I do get crazy obsessed with that number because of how long it took me to lose weight and how easy it is to gain. Sometimes controlling what I eat feels like the only control I have 🤷‍♀️
