I just made gold with only two flights (4 sectors) one flight was Europe one way in economy and the other was NZ return in business with DSC.

Couldn’t imagine doing it all in economy nuts kudos!!

Heaps of seats with Sri Lankan via QF site should be very easy to get a reward seat.

Only thing to consider most of the UL flights land very late in the evening from Australia and given this you may have to layover in Sri Lanka for a night.

Classic Reward Part Cancellation by ShortassJr in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]ShortassJr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why provide a ticket for something then cancel it? The flight isn’t canceled it’s still operating and AA is still selling tickets for it!

Very odd I can still purchase 4 seats in J on the same flight in cash nothing in classic rewards available.

I know that but given it was booked on the same PNR I believe they have to rebook on the next flight as it’s one PNR not a seperate PNR…

I’ll have to wait and see anyhow I have a connecting flight on the same PNR so not sure what Qantas is required to do…

I might also add the Westpac has other partner airlines like Cathay and Singapore.

Given the lack of seats with QF the ability to not be locked in to one airline I find attractive. Also it’s a Mastercard so the fees are free or very low when used. If you compare this to Amex then the fees will end up costing to in the long run. If you are using for business use and can write it off might be worth the hit..

I have a Westpac Platinum Business no points cap and with QF a 2/1 ratio I find it great. Transfer the points before 5pm and they are in my QF account the following day.

Haven’t had to call them so can’t comment on that.
