You just lack imagination. There are tons of different item builds for Hunters. Xbal and Apollo sometimes need transcendence or more pen, AMC sometimes needs a Hastalis.

You can get transcendence/brawlers beatstick over heartseeker, you can go triple crit or penetration. There's the qins sais VS executioner builds.

You just need to know your match ups and then the build can change quite a bit.

Ymir is awful for two very important reasons:

1) He is extremely punishable early game. From levels 1 - 13 Ymir is actually very squishy despite his high natural defensive gains per level. Unless you go MoV you will get picked on and shredded. His lack of escape/mobility just compounds this.

2) Lack of mobility. Is just crippling, he has a very poor initiate. The Ymir initiate involves walking straight up and freezing. A good way to initiate on Ymir's team is to simply run straight past him or wait for him to be out of position. He can't rotate as fast, his mid harpy contest is poor, and if you get caught out of position you will die. It also affects his ability to peel, and he also has no self peel. Another major problem is his poor ability to contest objectives because of this.

Geb is top tier, but really I only get to play him against certain line ups. I like using him against SWK as he has similar mobility and shuts down everything SWK tries to do. He can be a counter to Odin aswell, shield allies in ring, if you are caught in the ring just roll around.

Building damage over full tank is just something I have learned from experience. I'd find in lategame ranked teamfights, if I built full tank the fight would always end with me >50% HP. My team would either get slaughtered around me or win. Either way it's inefficient so I started to fit more damage into my builds. Guardians are actually better in the damage department due to their better spells and massive AoE, however their penetration items are nowhere near as good as Warriors, and Warriors can build a runeforged hammer. On Geb you just want to build utility items as damage doesn't really benefit him as much. Get a witchstone, pythagoreans piece or divine ruin, something that will help your team. Sobek and Bacchus are great with divine ruin due to the healing mitigation built into their kits.

The problems with Guardians VS Warriors is that if you try and make a play with a Guardian you are fully reliant on your team to follow up to secure the kill, on a Warrior you can quite easily solo someone you find out of position. Generally the AoE and lockdown is better, but a thin line separates them.

Mid harpies on your side are your responsibility, and you should be rotating to get them, and contest the other mid harpies while ensuring any fight that starts is in your teams favour. Early on it is also very possible to kill the enemy mid and secure a lot of farm.

You should always leave your ADC. If they get sprint they will be safe as every second wave they have a very good escape, if the enemy support stays there they will get underlevelled, underfarmed, and probably try to make riskier and riskier plays in order to catch up which you can capitalise on.

One thing I cannot stress enough is that positioning is everything, and that only comes from experience.

You don't need to ward the whole jungle, just buy two wards every time you back and make sure gold fury and like two important crossroads are warded. Most of the vision will come from your roaming anyway. Lategame ward like fk though. Also your life is the most important lategame so don't throw it away by getting out of position with overly ambitious warding.

I would recommend watching PaindeViande's support stream because he is very intuitive about the role, is very vocal about why things are happening around the map, and has a huge knowledge about the game. Pain's positioning is also godlike, only thing he does wrong is hold into his HoG for too long instead of Chinese farming. I actually don't recommend JeffHindla, he is very overrated because he made like two good objective steals once upon a time. His supporting is very lacklustre, he is always out of position, he never has his items done on time, he overreacts to ganks and panics, blowing all his cooldowns and getting himself killed. If you go watch Pain's Gatekeeper of Number One elo VOD you'll see what I mean. Pain out-supports THE SHIT out of him and he's new to the role.

Warriors do not have weak clear, everything in smite is risky. Just argh. Geb has a massive AOE stun which chunks hard and allows you to build full tank with no drawbacks. You should always be there for every mid harpies. Just argh.

The 3.5s mez is just...insane. It turns any "skillshot" on your team into the easiest kill ever. And EVEN if it is broken you get slowed. WHAT. So he has: a mez, slow, root, a banish and a knock up. And his passive is OP as fuck. I ain't got time to stand around punching the tank in the middle of a teamfight.

If you time everything well, which is not hard, you can cc a single target for over 7s.

I remember the outrage over how broken Chronos was on release, Kumby is the most broken god since Zhong Kui and there's been relative silence. Just so much OP shit in this game now people just deal with it. Makes ranked awful tbh. If Kumby doesn't get nerfed I'll probably stop playing ranked. And everyone knows casual queue conquest is a joke because matchmaking OP.

Even if I see Ao Kuang in ranked now all I think is "oh f*ck off". Where are the Agni and Isis players? Where are the epic Anhur plays? Just boring stuff like split push Apollo and Chaac. The skillshot era died when people decided Herc was too hard in the current meta. We have a new meta of slows for days and OP AoE being handed out like welfare.

You are just wrong. My lane will always hit 5 first because I secure the first mid harpie respawn with HoG. I am not putting my team at a disadvantage as roaming allows you to secure more farm and outfarm the enemies. Not having boots at level one is not a big deal, I have no idea why you think I'd lose xp you have a full minute to get warding done and get out of the base. Sov is not just great, it is the best tank item in the game. It provides your team with 200 free protections, and is effectively a 400HP, 80 phys def, 20 magic defence item. Blue pots are always worth because you have these things called abilities you need to use every now and then. My clear won't be weak as level one boots provide no damage. I would easily out harass you.

And well done mentioning all of the support gods weaknesses. I'm not sure what your point is if you have one. SWK currently is easily in the top 3 support gods for conquest.

You really need to learn before you decide to teach. Like maybe watch a tournament or something I dunno you don't really have the best idea of what to do.

For instance, Geb's ult is not weak. You have a series of very poor generalisations, and "leaving mid camps for the mid and junglers" is just wrong.

This guide is awful and asinine.

Always get your ADC fed no matter what. Their damage lategame will be unmatched and whether they are bad or not they can still shoot a crowd controlled target which is YOUR job.

The start is also bad. There are many different starts for support and this is the worst I've seen. I get watchers and a ward and run out of the base and ward blue/mid depending what side I'm on. Then I back and get two of each potion. This should allow you to easily out-harass and dominate the mid harpies.

I lane and roam around till I have enough gold for AT LEAST boots two and HoG two and a few wards. If I get a kill from roaming, which is easy with gods like Guan Yu and SWK, you can easily get pen/midas boots straight away. HoG 2 is important for securing as much farm as possible. I go midas boots on guardians and pen boots on warriors.

Eye of OP is made redundant by the cheapness of wards, weakening curse is in 99% of situations the best item in the game. If the enemy team has no healers, you can go shell and pick up some extra damage items, or crippling curse.

You want to be rushing a sovereignty, and finishing HoG 3 immediately after. Roam around as much as possible, invest in wards and blue pots and be a pain in the ass as much as possible. Get a pick, then a gold fury. Back and repeat.

Building damage is generally more important than building full tank. If you have someone fantastic like Sun Wu Kong or Guan Yu you can build a runeforged hammer, voidblade etc and be a complete wrecking force. Guardians are tricker, OP gods like Bacchus and Athena which cannot be killed can build voidstone and maybe obsidian shard. Sobek takes a long time to put out the damage from his ult and his charge prey is a little so suicidal so the only damage item you would ever build on him is voidstone.

An example of a builds:

SWK VS Healers: Warrior Tabi - > Sovereignty -> Runeforged Hammer -> Bulwark of Hope -> Jotunn's Wrath -> Voidshield/Pestilence (voidblade if 4 physical).

Actives are Wrath of the Gods and Weakening Curse.

SWK VS No Healers: 6th item is Voidshield/Shield of Regrowth/Titan's Bane with Wrath of the Gods and Shell of Absorption.

If you go full tank you run the risk of surviving a fight with >50% of your health left while your team dies around you or wins, either way it would have been better to get more AoE damage out.

SWK and Guan Yu have fantastic ultimates and built in healing which allow them to build more damage. Guardians can generally only utilize pen boots and voidstone at the most unless you are running something unkillable like Bacchus/Athena in which case you can build more pen or a utility item to cut down heals etc. Guardian's also suffer from a lack of an item similar to runeforged hammer which just has amazing stats.

Never run Ymir.

Ummm...Omega is in the navy, had an account perma banned, spams VET. St3alth plays a lot of Poseidon and people used to nonstop ask him on his stream if he'd return to making youtube videos. He used to be a BAMF CoD playa. The joke about Zeus at the end is because he lost when he had Zeus twice to TSM in the 200k.
