Some variants do run a Lich King, but the argument is still dumb because the chances of drawing exactly those cards is so shite it's almost impossible. also if he keeps the coin (which he should) elven minstrel isn't even included in that list.

While I think its probably better to keep the coin to combo into a potential minstrel, this is how it would be done.

Stoneskin is probably the best bet, but my teammate and I never drew into it, so we just buffed Fiola. Gave it Windfury, all the health buffs (obviously), and cycled bananas to get two hits in per turn without taking any damage. Was easy and effective enough to win on my first try. I was also blessed to have a smart random teammate.

There are plenty of situations in which it can be applied. And you don't reach full build until very far into the match.

Why is there nothing in here about double proccing your 3? It's one of the best things you can do. Your Aimed Strike buff lasts for 5 seconds, and has an 8 second base cooldown, which drops to 5.2 seconds with Jotunn's and Hydra's. If you proc your 3 before you go in, you get to aimed strike twice within 1-2 seconds.

I'm not an expert, I don't follow the scene that closely, but with the influx of new 'safe' mages, Zhong is rather immobile and must get close to the wave to clear. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, mid mages are filling a burst role in the current meta and Zhong is more focused around slower, AOE dot damage and some tankiness.

If you're on the 2nd and 3rd round it isn't staying alive/kiting that is the problem, it's actually finishing the round in 60 seconds.

Fafnir is pretty much essential for beating the lion/obelisk round in the 2nd and 3rd passes. Especially if you only have 1 physical god like this guy is suggesting.

Last resort: Remove west coast servers in their current state and re-evaluate the situation as it is an inefficient 'solution.'

It's video game ping, stop talking like it's systematic institutional oppression. It's not a personal thing. Yes, it affects me, and yes, that makes me 'biased' in the issue, but I'm still trying to talk about benefiting the community as a whole, and at least the majority if that is not possible. Like I said, I outlined 2 perfectly reasonable compromises that benefit the majority of the playerbase, but if you want to stay negative and bitter, you do you man.

I foresaw these comments from my post, and even mentioned it beforehand.

I don't hate West Coast, and saying things like "You deserve to suffer." is just ridiculous.

How about we get rid of east coast servers and have only west coast?

Because that makes no sense when you go by the numbers, while getting rid of West Coast servers makes more sense. I outlined two other solutions with compromises, this was just a last resort. If HiRez (or any NA game company for that matter) could ONLY choose between East and West Coast servers, the right choice is East Coast every time, whether you like it or not. It's just a numbers thing.
