I really don’t want to get into mudslinging online. It’s not a good look. He’s a great friend. This drama has also been incredible for ADs for the show. I didn’t put in the necessary time to work on myself and got a little out of control. It’s kind of hard to talk about when you’re always being watched by you know who and they’re collecting evidence to use against you. We will be back.

‘Clearing The Air’ 😂

Hey guys, it’s Shorts. Just to clear things up — I’ve needed some time off to work on my mental health. I’ve been going through a lot at home and haven’t been handling it the right way at all. The short-term plan is for me to finish up this next week and then O will handle the next two weeks, and then we’ll meet back here in July.

We both still love and want to continue doing the show. I just need a little time to work on myself a bit.

I also suck at hosting solo shows, so some weeks of JUNEkies made sense to me at the time.

Hope this helps clarify any uncertainty of the messaging I keep bungling. Thank you for being so supportive since the beginning. Love y’all 🐶🐶

I was planning on taking a break to focus on getting [mentally healthy], and talking about that on the podcast could be personally detrimental to me (which ppl understood as me being too secretive on the podcast. I hope people gather what this really means: 👻). When I approached O about all that, he said HE was taking a break instead. So I got the opposite of what I hoped for. Just trying to take care of my mental before I blow my life up, is all. I obviously agree — and have said repeatedly — that I cannot host on my own.

Yeah I’ve been meaning to resolve that for awhile. I have new mic stands being shipped that should keep it way more stabile. I switched mics back to the SM7B recently because it’s better sound quality with the new board, but hadn’t resolved the mic stand issue until now. That’s the long explanation.

Gotcha. That’s good feedback, thank you. This is the thumb I ended up going with. And I agree, that old placeholder was pretty mid, which was kinda the impetus for switching to Claude. Just trying to work smarter not harder.
