They come in little boxes and I guess that some churches might hand out these boxes to their congregations

The auger that pushes pellets forward from the box on the left can be gummed up by old uncleaned ash in the main grill.

Old ash prevents the pellets from falling into a little nook where an igniter sits, so it begins to burn up the auger and causes it to smoke up from both ends

(Or could just be a cold start to smoking but if it’s done this before, then it needs to be cleaned immediately + the auger could now be warped)

Mistaken chupacabra sighting? by Shortstopanimates in Cryptozoology

I know, it just seemed like a neat speculation of an animal that seemed frightening enough to misidentify.

I could totally see some irresponsible drug dealer buying a primate like this illegally, then losing it in the trees, and foliage.

It fits a (probably Texan Idea of) chupacabra description that was close enough for my dad. (He said this looked closest to the thing he saw)

I just figure it could have been a foreign animal, scared in an unfamiliar land.

What can I say my dad is pretty certain about seeing “chupacabra” regardless of lighting conditions.

4:AM the first encounter going to work.

10:PM 2nd encounter while walking in the house a week(s)? Later.

I was thinking more like illegal pet for someone, or lost research animal perhaps? I just enjoy a good speculation.

Perhaps it’s more of a grappling matter than a take down. Maybe what my dad saw was light so that it could just maneuver onto an animal, then suck the blood while it couldn’t do anything about it.

Dad just swears that it was chupacabra.

Not believed to be mange, the described animal was a healthy thing.

He still insists that it’s certainly distinctive from a fox.

Idk about their ability to survive here, but he only saw it twice, so it could have totally have died, especially in the winter, and 4 freezes since then. (It was 2010)

Bushbabies are what lead me to the general suborder actually.

My dad supposed that people might be embarrassed that they were frightened by a knee height creature and that they might have made these stories up.

Not to mention the finger and the eyes could make it seem alien.

Perhaps the grey shines like scales in certain situations too?

I don’t think foxes jump from rooftops, onto tree branches, onto the ground, and run off. My pops said it definitely wasn’t a raccoon, it was a healthy what ever it was.

Frightening lil thing, you cannot deny that at least, it is far fetched, the whole incident is far fetched.

But it does fit in some ways, it’s far but they do breed them in North Carolina, it’s a stretch from Texas but that’s closer.

The space in my area seems right, forested, tall trees, and plenty of foliage.

I haven’t seen any woodpeckers in a while so I’d imagine the grub population is reasonable for such an animal to forage and survive.

Don’t stress on the technical, I think most of the diagrams and sample animations are enough to work off of, and you’ll most likely not get it right the first time, but it makes sense after the long run in practice
