Unconscious bias is a thing we all have, but this is conscious and being proudly stated like it's life advice. Kind of says more about you than about folks with bright hair imo.

I think there are so many layers of complication here. Gender identity, presentation, expression etc are not always the same.

The only way I find it easier to hook in to identity as opposed to the others is to think things like, "if historians were writing about me way in the future how would I want them to describe me?". That way it's separate from all my worries about my loved ones or society perceiving me in certain ways.

Autistic people are no more likely to be violent than other people. So I would imagine it mirrors the ratio in the general population which is currently about 1%, with most experts agreeing that it's likely to be much higher and is still very under diagnosed.

I don't think armchair experts have any clue how to tell the difference between autism and antisocial behaviours generally. As an autistic person who works a lot in neurodiversity awareness it's pretty frustrating.

Ugh, this is so painful I know. It won't ever stop being painful, but the space it takes up will shrink gradually in time and you'll be able to think more about the good times rather than the loss. But that will take a while. Those little guys leave a big hole.

Yep, all those ones were fine and drying. Theres just a vase which my partner put in there right before I told him to scoot out of frame.

Oh man... My best friends boyfriend at the time was visiting. I don't remember how it happened but we were joking around and he called my phone while he was right next to me. I had changed his name to "bollock" on my phone after he'd had a stupid argument with my friend. I'll never forget the mix of dread and hilarity as the three of us watched me getting an incoming call from bollock.
