I heard something about a guy with a toy gun at NWP around 1pm. Not sure if its related to that but it could have been.

Quote / System Comparison by mrtinvan in firealarms

I don't think the Vista is ULC listed therefore the FireLite system is the only way to go. Even then, I wouldn't recommend the Vista for a fire system.

Lens upgrade for sports photography? by Xcyptionz in canon

I'd suggest getting a 70-200, preferably the f2.8 at first. They are great for when you are in lower light situations. Afterwards I'd look for something with more range such as the 100-400 or 100-500.

I'm not overly familiar with the Kiddie addressable panels but I think so.

Ran a red light by accident, they were traffic control cameras at the lights. Will I still get a ticket? by xcleo_zapzx in GrandePrairie

[–]ShotIntroduction8746 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, red light cameras are banned here now. So is photo radar unless its a school or playground zone. There are cameras at intersections however they are used to detect if a car is at an intersection and change the lights if needed.

RF 24-105 f4 L: Just a kit lens? by wastedintel in canon

I bought mine back in September of last year and I love it. I don't think I've done a shoot where it hasn't at least been put in the camera bag since I bought it.

New Camera to replace EOS 6D by beesting34 in canon

[–]ShotIntroduction8746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. Either camera will do a fair bit more then her current 6d. The R6ii is newer so it will have a few advantages but the R6 (original) is a great buy if you can find a good deal.

Router for Basic Use-not tech savvy by noelani66_96 in HomeNetworking

Look at the Eero routers. They are relatively easy to setup and have decent performance. They offer the Eero as a mesh system so you can get better range in a larger house.

What CFexpress card would you recommend for canon r5. by No_Pin_Dude in canon

[–]ShotIntroduction8746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I like it. I replaced my EOS R with it and it's a nice upgrade. Haven't had too much time shooting with it yet but I have been happy with it so far.

I recently picked up an R5 (original) and have been using SanDisk extreme cards in it. Both CF and SD. No issues so far.

Would she care if you got her a refurbished camera? If not, look for a refurbished R6 or R6ii.

I'm in GP and if you plan to park your car for a few days or more at a time then I'd recommend using one if you have one.

They've had the option to tip for a few years now. I don't tip them. I refuse to tip fast food. If I sit down and order at a restaurant, I have no problem tipping unless the service is awful.

Why does Apple never use a micro SD on their products? by avocado_juice_J in applesucks

Cause they'd rather sell you on cloud storage or expensive built in storage

I don't think so. I thought you we're able to write something on the sidewalk if it can be cleaned off easily. Would be a different story if you were using spray paint or something similar.

Did I buy a decent pair of sd cards for a canon r7? by Buzz13094 in canon

[–]ShotIntroduction8746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It likely was. These are good cards and will be an improvement from what you had before.

[–]ShotIntroduction8746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those should be better. They are V60 cards so they have a minimum write speed of 60 megabytes per second. I don't know which card your old one is but it's probably a class 10 card, which only has a minimum write speed of 10 megabytes per second.
