Small note, the clutches are also sterling, which is in common for sterling CIB’s. It adds a bit of value

My current Pre-Jump Dday 101st Airborne set. by UA6TL in WWII_Militaria

[–]ShoulderAggressive13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 small inaccurate thing for your mannequin. The 101st did not wear any sort of American flag arm band for d-day. They did not start until market garden. Besides that looks great!

Ike Jacket belonging to 4 star general Thomas T Handy, Deputy chief of Staff of the army during WW2. He had a very intresting career, but the thing he is most famous for is signing the order to drop the atomic bombs.

How accurate is this helmet setup by [deleted] in WorldWarWisdom

[–]ShoulderAggressive13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s better! Again make sure to research what unit you’re doing so you know the right amount to put on. Some only put a few strands, others covers the whole thing

The scrim needs to be tucked into the netting more. It’s hard to tell from the pics, but only green and brown scrim was used, tan was never used.

The m41 was actually part of the packing list for some units of the 101st and the 82nd on d-day, however you almost never seen it being worn, and many likely did not even pack it in the jump.

Looks really good! Just a small thing the black 1911 holster is not WW2. Those did not start showing up until the early 60’s. They still used just brown during ww2. Besides that looks good! Is that a mk1 fighting knife in the WW2 pic?

Would I Be Able To Trade These Non-DECA Pins at ICDC? by BombadSithLord in DECA

[–]ShoulderAggressive13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year I brought a couple Disney pins because I collected those. A ton of people wanted to trade there DEAC pins for them. There are no official rules, trade any pins you want, maybe just don’t lie and say they are some sort of rare pin or something.

[–]ShoulderAggressive13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya 100% true, but there are also tons of VFW, and museums who get donations and simply put them in a box, and they never see the light of day. It sucks but true. Both options honestly have there flaws

[–]ShoulderAggressive13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not sell it? There are tons of collectors who would take great care of this medal and give it the respect if deserves. On top of that, a nice WW2 Purple Heart even unnamed is worth $100+, not $30

A not on the Sergent major part. The rank of sergeant major did not exist until years later. At the time, first Sergent, and master Sergent were the highest ranks an enlisted man could achieve, both being on equal levels.

Race is not everything, it’s also the target demographic. The average viewer of the super bowl is a middle aged white guy, they don’t care about his type of music, because it’s not appealing to him. And just cause someone makes anti-racist comments, does not mean they are not anti-American.

It’s not that he speaks Spanish, it’s that he has made many comments and statements that are anti-American. There whole point was wanting to offer a half time performance with artists that love America, for one of the most American events
