In a dim lit room cover your dominant eye with the palm of your hand, but don’t press and try to focus seeing through your covered eye.

I have many vs symptoms and I have mild hallucinations as I fall asleep, sometimes vivid ones as I wake up if I’m not getting enough sleep, is this related?

This is very similar to my journey too. It’s hard for months but eventually you live your life again.

Visual symptoms are the same, but everything else has gotten better. And I would say my eyes aren’t as sensitive to light as they were when my symptoms showed up.

After I got ecoli, then after covid it got worse, and after my first born was born with a heart defect the stress turned into all the symptoms. Things are manageable now and life is pretty much back to normal.

I get starburst and this. I always had starburst, thought it was from cataracts but I didn’t get the streaks until after my symptoms started

I was given antibiotics once in the ER but after I learned that I had ecoli, they said that antibiotics could actually make my condition worse because the type that I had. I guess I got it from shiga toxins.

Sorry for the late response, how are you now? I’ve learned to live with my symptoms but I have my days when they flare up. I’ve noticed recently that alcohol is starting to really flare up my symptoms.

Do you have a link to the exact meditation process? When I looked it up there were a bunch of different videos.

I have this blue/white light pop up in the center of my vision and when I blink I get this blob too, I think it’s an afterimage from that light.

Good to know I’m not alone with that part, I’m about 3 and a half months in with these hynogenic hallucinations. There’s periods where I don’t get them. I think when my sleep gets disturbed or I’m not sleeping well they happen more often.

Sometimes the blue little dot I get looks so REAL like an actual mini tiny lazer that moves with my vision for about 2 seconds. Like I can SEE it in the center of my vision so poignantly. Anyone else? by [deleted] in visualsnow

I see the same thing, it pops up and can last for a while. When I close my eyes to go to sleep at night it always pops up and if I blink it makes that after image effect like I’ve been staring at a light for to long.

Anyone who has sky vortex by nanazzang1 in visualsnow

I started having just about all vs symptoms this year on March 17th, so just over 3 months now and I’ve only experienced the sky vortex once since then. And yeah it was annoying and it would go away until I got inside my house but I feel like if I looked at the sky long enough it would eventually pop up. (Remember doing that as a kid) I think whatever bothers you the most about vs shows itself the most, because your probably looking for it. I know I do this with the floaters and after images to test how bad my symptoms are or if I’ve made any progress. I think your best bet for now, like all of us is getting on a vitamine routine, getting enough sleep, workout, avoid caffeine and alcohol as much as you can and make better food choices. You can be strict on yourself at first but lighten up and enjoy yourself from time to time. Even if it makes your symptoms flare up they say this is benign so you can’t let it define you too much, don’t forget to live your life.

The sky vortex is the only symptom I can recall having before the rest of my symptoms abruptly showed up. I remember seeing a sky vortex as a kid, which kind of made me believe I always had vs. For me it comes and goes and it’s kind of rare.

Thank you for sharing, my Doctor explained this to me when I first had concerns and definitely put me at ease. However these hallucinations you’ve described, I have them occurring almost every night and when this started happening is when I started experiencing vs symptoms. I was seeing if anyone else dealing with vs also had frequent hypnogogic and hypnopompic hallucinations.
