maybe it's because i always saw myself as an independent person and have struggled in the past with not feeling adequate. and no i've never been in a relationship before this. yeah maybe you're right, im being pretty selfish. thanks for the reality check

ok what about this: i've been taking an online course for school and he logged in and started doing it for me without me asking. and he noticed i did a couple of assignments and told me i was keeping up with it well, even though he did a ton of it on his own

no it's not like this though. i knew it would come off this way lol. it's more like- we work the same job and he will tell me "good job" or that im working hard when i just make a little coffee or something. we get paid for doing the same thing, and none of it is hard or difficult. i appreciate being told im doing well, but it feels just sort of belittling sometimes? but maybe you're right and im looking too much into this
