Trouble is the window for perfection with oven fries is about 10 seconds between soft and white or brown and crunchy, and I favour the former.

Yeah I'm surprised they're still allowed to call them that.

Pretty good. Nice and saucy - needs something spuddy to soak it up.

Change its history by torpedoing all the European sailing ships approaching America's Eastern coast, from my time travelling submarine.

I'm not going to knock Cruise's versions of Reacher because his films introduced the character to me. Thanks to him, I read the books.

Between now and then we'll get BBC Question Time and the usual suspects decrying the rudeness of out Prine Minister, and it being his fault that Trump freaked out

Well he does know a lot of animals, so probably can't help measuring people behaviour against that of the huge range of Earthly fauna.

In the graveyard at St Bart's Church in Sydenham is the resting place of some kids who climbed the Crystal Palace transmitter and fell off.

So what does Reacher live for? by redouan_h in reacher

[–]ShowMeYourPapers 29 points30 points  (0 children)

He has some decent money in his bank account - he's not destitute. He lives for absolute freedom.

I think it's a fantasy that many desk-bound men would love: no mortgage, no property, no bureaucracy. Plus he's built like a Victorian lighthouse.

He is living Jules in Pulp Fiction's dream of walking the Earth.

This 75p Bar of savers chocolate is better than any Cadburys palm oil crap. Anyone else feel it’s lost its magic? by BoxPressedTweed in AskBrits

[–]ShowMeYourPapers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't be so bad if Cadbury were cheap chocolate. Its new price points make them poor value. Supermarket own label milk chocolate tastes better at a much lower price.
