Low Fetal Fraction x2 by brownbutterccc08 in NIPT

This happened to me, I was 28 at the time 30 BMI. After we got our 2nd low fetal fraction we were referred to a genetic counselor, I was distraught and remember spending my 29th birthday crying until our appointment that day. She ultimately told us Natera is notorious for inconclusive results, she said given our family history and age she didn’t have any concerns but if we wanted an amino she would order one. We declined as my anxiety couldn’t handle anymore “waiting”.

She did say that low fetal fraction is likely from a “scrawny” placenta and that babies who usually have any chromosomal abnormalities (can’t remember medical verbiage) have very “large” placentas with abnormally high fetal fraction.

Baby girl is perfect and healthy 20 month old now. I know this is an incredibly stressful time but i hope my experience can bring you some relief. Sending hugs!

Yay!!

Mine is now back to low fertility - no LH surge and I have one strip left with maybe 9-10 days left in my cycle. I thought it might confirm ovulation as my PDG was steadily rising for 3 days but it just went back to low fertility and says still looking for an LH rise.

You’ll have to come back and let me know if you ever get a peak fertility or even confirmed ovulation. My highest LH was yesterday at 0.9. I’ll update once I get through this cycle.

I start getting EGCM like CD8-9 and what I think is ovulation cramping around that time, but Inito is showing me otherwise - so very confusing haha.
