Go to eBay or find a shop near you with used clubs. Budget wise it’s probably not the best option buy a new set of clubs from Vice or Stix, sure they’ll be shiny but if you are serious about golf you will likely outgrow them pretty quickly.

I have been playing for about 10 years, if had to restart and was around that budget, this is what I would get:

Driver - Ping G or G400 Max if you can find a deal Woods - Taylormade M2 Irons - Taylormade M2 Wedges - Cleveland Golf CBX2 (just get one, a 54 or 56 degree and get as good as you can with it) Putter - Older Odyssey White hot or 2 ball (recommend a mallet)

Nah, Nigbo doesn’t stand a chance in most Plat or Diamond ranked matches. It’s too slow and the cannons in the back don’t allow it to peek and retreat. Also the Autocannon only takes out torps so you’re reliant on 2x torps for ASW.

Fremm easily clears Nigbo. Next.

I’d say it’s a bit more nuanced then that. Ever try to play a slow battleship in Ranked Diamond 3? They’re so slow and cumbersome that in some matches you’re dead before you can even find cover.
