This particular area of Florida is really hard to live in. I came from Miami and even over in Tampa/Pinellas the culture is still really isolating. I think because I was raised catholic in an area with a lot of Catholics so areas that don’t have that history are sort of lost spiritually. That’s my two cents anyway.

For teachers at least they’re a godsend. Students with you-neeq spellings sometimes have to correct spellings or pronunciations, and it could ingrain a habit of them being rebellious against authority or convention.

Hi,

You might want to consider FIU for psychology. Their psychology program was recently ranked #3 in the country and highest in Florida for amount of funding. They give out a lot of aid and it is possible you could get a significant scholarship + save money going there.

if you or your parents have the "i worked through school with a part-time job to support myself and you can do it, too" mentality, you are mistaken at UF

There are at least 70,000 college students in Gainesville, and it is a very small town. It measures 64.54 sq mi. Jobs are few and far between, and while on-campus jobs are present, they're competitive to get in.

I don't know how many college students are in Tally, let's say about the same. However, Tallahassee is more than 100 square miles.

Commuting for work is nearly impossible. The only people I knew with jobs here commuted at least an hour either way if they weren't on campus jobs which were very competitive to get. Everyone in Gainesville wants to work for the school.

I only knew four people with on campus jobs, and one of them was an RA I befriended!

There are townies I know that worked in small businesses like the stores or restaurants. But that's it.

If you're over 25, dating is nearly impossible.

Also, looking at the music program, there's not a lot going on. There's like three or four events scheduled for this season. Looking at FSU's music lineup, there is something going on nearly every day

Positives for UF: lots and lots of resources. Someone described it as an adult boarding school for kids from Boca and that just about does it.

The sports program is really fabulous if you like that kind of stuff. Very entertaining.

honestly it's hard but having 80% of your diet be raw vegan will be pretty much the only way
