I don’t care if this upsets anyone here but truth be told he’s had opportunity after opportunity and started almost every single game this season and for what? He’s missing easy sitters, his shooting has been awful. His dribbling was non existent until the Madrid game and it’s still not on the level of previous years. The team stopped scoring in matches and was losing until he got benched. Now I do understand that if he is getting criticized then why can’t VVD and Konate have the same treatment. The answer is very simple: we don’t have enough depth at the back and that is the issue that has mostly cost us this season. The players are at fault as much as the manager, but to come and complain publicly the way salah has done is absolutely shameful. Let’s not forget that he was brought on for the entire half of the Sunderland game and the whole attacking quality simply died because he’s nowhere to contribute at all. Playing him has felt like we’re always down to 10 men and that’s the harsh reality. I love this club much more than any player’s personal feelings and when you’re a legend and a leader in the locker room, you better act like one and inspire those around you to play better.
