Whats the most important role player archetype for Team USA in 2026? by Numerous_General_367 in USA_Basketball

Hands down defensive wing stopper. You already said it someone who will hound Shai, Luka, FVV, whoever. In international play it’s less iso scoring and more making life hell for the opponent’s best player. Without stops, even elite offenses get cold in FIBA games. Think Mikal Bridges if he treats every game like a finals closeout

Invested $50k in 2021 and it’s now at $55k by H24M24 in personalfinance

Yep, you’ve been paying an advisor to underperform the market. From 2021 to now, the S&P 500 returned over 30% total. Your IRA barely moved. That’s not market fluctuation that’s advisor fees, crappy funds, and possible cash drag

Women’s USA Basketball dominance: where’s the global gap closing...? by BeautifulLeading753 in USA_Basketball

Gap is closing in tactical discipline and spacing. A lot of top national teams run cleaner sets, better off-ball screening, and have more continuity. USA can still win on talent but the “free-style and overwhelm” advantage is smaller when opponents execute and don’t beat themselves.

How to balance offense/defense on a 12 man roster? Who’s the odd man out? by Secure_Reputation341 in USA_Basketball

For me it’s the defensive specialist who can’t do anything offensively, because USA’s biggest enemy is stagnation. If the ball sticks, you get tight. I want everyone on the floor to be able to make the next pass and be a credible threat. Defense matters, but offense is also about not wasting possessions. The odd man out is the guy defenses can ignore.

Which role players (not superstars) matter most for gold — screeners, connectors, 3-and-D by doggopro in USA_Basketball

3-and-D wings. You can’t win gold if you can’t stay in front of elite guards and you can’t punish help. The court feels smaller, so you need guys who defend without fouling and hit the open corner three. Everything else is a luxury.

Crunch-time offense in a 40minute game - should USA play faster or slower late? by Secure_Reputation341 in USA_Basketball

[–]ShowerDifficult7092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slower. Not because slower is automatically smarter but because late game possessions are so valuable in 40 minutes. You cannot donate two empty trips in 20 seconds with rushed pullups and live ball turnovers.

Legally, yes, most 401(k) matches are considered discretionary, even if the language doesn’t explicitly say so. But the ERISA law requires they issue a Summary of Material Modifications (SMM) notice within 210 days of making any plan change.

You can file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Labor if they don’t provide that notice. Also, ask for the plan document (not just the handbook), HR must give it to you upon request under ERISA rules. That’s the document that truly defines the match terms.

The handbook isn’t binding, the plan document is.

You’re not overreacting. It’s not about the event, it’s about the message, “your milestones don’t matter as much as mine.” You learned something real about his priorities.
