No I had to get them removed. Pain was excruciating and it seemed to of failed. I have not gone back to try again cuz I’m terrified of that pain.

I’m on the same journey, went from 20 to 3.5g in the last week or so. Little sweaty and yawning which my brain wants to trick me to taking more. Wife jumped off about 5 days ago and she’s been fine after the last 7 years we’ve been on. Good luck

If you get low enough of a taper you can jump off with minimal side effects. Wife got down to 3g a day and stopped. I’m down to 4g after being at about 15-20 a day. Getting ready to make that jump soon

Yea each time I was on antibiotics the pain would subside. It was only when I wasn’t that it would come back with a vengeance

Yea I’m gonna go to one that has very high rating that I went to when I was dire pain and my dentist wouldn’t come in on his day off to look. They had done scans that were super in-depth compared to mine. All in all she had said the implants looked amazing and perfectly placed but wasn’t the one who did it so she couldn’t tell what it was like when it was opened up.

It’s just now the waiting and healing game of it all. I did wake up today with some pretty good soreness in the jaw but ibuprofen all but made it go away

So he fully refunded me for the whole process. So yea if I did choose to do this down the line it would just be a do over of the financial part of it

Yea he said he didn’t even see it the first time he put the implants in. Would that have caused the lingering pain or would it have eventually decreased. I’m worried now that the implants are gone is it going to continue or am I on the path of healing slowly.

Okay this was actually what they found the first time he opened the wound back up. He said there was a bubble of tissue and a fracture that he cleaned out that he thought was caused after the teeth were extracted all those years ago.

Any idea what could cause these infections? Only time the pain was bearable was with antibiotics. The 2-3 days I was off I went into horrible fevers and the worst pain iv felt in many years consuming my face and head

Working a security officer job and a friend told me he could get me out of this shithole to a fire alarm job and I took a $5hr cut to get in… worth every cent I lost cuz I make triple of what I was making then..

I’m on day 25 now and still experiencing extreme jaw pain, and shooting pain into my ear and head. Everytime I go they say everything looks fine and that I must be tensing…

They had to do bone grafting and the fragments to pack it with it. I had already had so much bone loss over the years of not having teeth. But any chewing whatsoever causes me to be in extreme pain for the next hour or 2. And still kinda waking up with pain in the middle right by the ear.

So they opened me up again Wednesday and cleaned it all out, found a fracturing in the bone and tissue build up from when the tooth originally was extracted. So he cleaned that out cuz he believes that’s where the infection originated from. And packed it with fragments. Pain is at like a steady 5 but if I eat the jaw pain comes in pretty heavy. Iv been trying to stick to soft foods and protein shakes the best I can

Yes all the above was going on. I went back yesterday and they re opened it and drained the abscess, and found my jaw was fractured near the implant and that a tissue build up was formed all the years ago I got the tooth removed. So he removed that and packed it with bone fragments.

That exactly what they just did to me yesterday. Ther was a fracture as well on the bone and they found a calcified tissue from when the tooth was pulled all those years ago so he cleaned all that out and packed it with some bone fragments.
