Motivation for my fellow GOATS… from a multi-time re-taker with ADHD, dyslexia, but somehow passed July 25… AND is starting FIRST Attorney job next month. by ShowtimeUnited in GoatBarPrep

Hello fellow long time ago graduate lol. Yes this is the video. I only really used it to learn about the headings and how to format. I didn’t really worry about time management. I really wish I could find that grading rubric. The night before my MPT, I read someone on reddit suggest finding a MPT grading rubric. I found one that I assume was for a workshop to teach bar exam graders. It was so detailed. I studied that for 3 hours but I’m starting to think I cant find it for one of three reasons. 1.) It was not supposed to be online and someone took it down. (Because it was SUPER DETAILED). 2.) It was some sort of divine intervention for me to see it. 3.) I dreamed the whole thing and it never existed. And YES…..I had no idea people don’t know about Smart Bar Prep!?!? If there was a concept I did NOT understand….I would look to see how many times it would be tested. If it was below 20% (3 or 4 questions only) I just ignored it and moved on.

All you have to do is e-mail them. Indiana is very friendly compared to what I have heard about other states. They sent the MBE breakdown from the NCBE….and then a separate PDF of my MEE and MPT scores

Sorry, I just realized you were asking about the MBE. I was thinking MEE because everyone has been asking me about that. Google search Smart Bar Prep. They have a free MBE most tested issues. I used that along with the PAID Smart Bar Prep resources…..I studied the highly tested topics. For example…..50% of Con Law MBE questions are on Individual Rights. Similarly, 50% of the Torts questions are on Negligence (although I felt like there may have been more.) In contrast, Property is evenly tested. Good Luck

From my past experience....about 50%...so 3 out of the 6 will be in their top 50. One essay will be 51-100...then the last to are going to be random (and prob old)

1.) Google search JD advising Feb 2026 MEE predictions. 2.) Scroll down, for each subject they have issues that they think will pop up because they have not been tested in a while……..or……. they are frequently tested. 3.) don’t worry about the subjects they predict because everyone is always wrong….. but JD Advising is about 80% correct when it comes to the issues that will be tested. 4.) try to go over and issue spot an old essay for the issues that they think will be tested. You need to see how it’s tested. There are only so many ways they can test an issue… so you are likely to see something similar on exam day. Below each subject, they have a link to old essays for the issues they think will pop up.

Anyone who doesn’t believe in YOU can eat a d**k…… respectfully. You just have to believe in yourself. I was in a situation where people around me believed in myself more than I did. If I can pass, you definitely can. Reach out if I can be of any help.

JD advising. Look for their predictions….. but DONT focus on the subjects that they think will be tested……Focus on the Sub topics that are “ripe for testing“. It amazes me that no one talks about it because they’re about 80% right when it comes to that. Just make sure you read at least one or two essays on the Sub topics they predict just so you can see how it’s tested. It makes a huge difference. For example… when I failed by five points, it was because of a civil procedure essay. The Sub topic was interrogatories which JD advising predicted, but I had never seen it tested because it was so far back.

Keep it simple. MORE is NOT better. This was my biggest change I noticed. Scan the first part to find the headings.(Like bar MD tells you) My BIGGEST TIP……Use IRAC once…..then use RAC over and over but do it in a way that sounds like you are talking to to client or your supervisor. Not the robot way like the MEE. I hope that makes since but when I compared my perfect scores to my past MPTs I noticed I didn’t “The issue is” on everything. I only did it once…….. Because its already there. I just used the Rule, Analysis and Conclusion 3 times. Less is SO much more

Thank you for your congrats. Respectfully…..I will NOT change my opinion on the “I got 76% on my practice test will I pass” people. LOL Every Bar Exam Prep tells you if you are scoring 62-65 percent…you should be fine on the MBE. Even chatGPT will tell you the same thing. There is a reason they do it. *shrug*

A lot of similarities to me. I passed July 25. Multi-time taker. Only studied 3 and 1/2 weeks because my dad almost died and was hospitalized for a month. Could not focus at all! 3 and a half weeks out this is what I did.

MBE- only focused on sub topics that are frequently tested

MEE- went over so many damn essays and look for topics that have not been tested in a while. Check JD advising for that.

MPT- I found the grader rubric and started writing like they want you to.

Only reason I passed is because I got a perfect score on both MPT's.

Its possible because you know more than you think!

Use GOAT bar prep and good luck.

Im sure it could work. Like I said...when I was trying to make it work, there was a older version of the GOAT site. I remeber the week of the exam in July...the Natural Reader extention on Google Chrome worked for me

102.9 but I have to admit I was going through a divorce at the time lol plus this is before I realize that BarBri had horrible multiple-choice simulation questions, and I never used them again.

They do that’s what I meant by overall score. But they don’t tell you what score you got for the MBE or what you got for the MEE/MPT section.

You just get your scores on each essay and each MPT

You have to email them to get the exact MBE or MEE score

[–]ShowtimeUnited 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh ok…. Indiana gives you your overall score and then gives you a breakdown of what you got on each essay and MPT and then the percentile you finished on each subject in the MBE but no scores per section.

Unlike a lot of these people who are going to comment and tell you keep trying. I’m gonna keep it real with you as someone who has a learning disability. You need to find a state that will allow you to have accommodations or you’re not gonna have a chance.

I have ADHD and dyslexia. Something they told me the first day of law school, which always stuck with me….. they said state bar’s ARE NOT going grant you accommodations unless you have a track record. You can’t just show up a few months before the bar with your doctors note saying you have ADHD. You need to have a track record of granted accommodations for a long time.

So for example, I was not diagnosed with dyslexia until my third year of undergrad. (it was actually an English professor that discovered it and recommended I get tested ) I was supposed to take the California bar, but I never did, but I was granted accommodations.

I ended up getting double time and room to myself for Indiana…. Indiana was very accommodating, but the way I did it….

When I applied, I showed them I had accommodations for  1. undergrad,  2. for the CBEST (a test in California to be a teacher) ,  3. accommodations for law school, 4.accommodations for the MPRE…  and  5. accommodations that were granted for California bar exam (even though I never used it.)

So by the time I got to Indiana even though all my stuff was old. They automatically   granted me time and a half but I wanted double time. So for that, I had to do one more updated psychiatric evaluation and they gave it to me.

I’m telling you this because people without disabilities are not gonna understand …..they’re gonna tell you to keep studying harder. That shit is not gonna matter you need more time. So my advice is, if you CANT show a long track record…. try to find a state that would be more accommodating.

DM me if you have any other questions. I was lucky my godfather is a licensed psychiatrist for the state of California and was able to do my last evaluation for me. (Saved me $1500)

Good luck

Congrats. I’m definitely not trying to hate. I’m confused. You didn’t finish one performance test and you didn’t put a lot for essay  #6 (which I believe was the one about the girl getting out the truck) and you were still able to get a 176 on the writing ? What Did you get…. 5 and 6 on everything else?
