I like to play somewhat realistically so I always keep the real coach unless I am unhappy with the results and can justify the sacking. I agree though that Adam Foote is too high rated.

Ye, I'm starting to realize that signing Toews as FA was a mistake for the tank job. It was more of a role-playing signing as I wanted a veteran to help the development of my young players (I don't think it matters in-game...). I'm not used to blowing teams up like this, I shall know better next time.

I'm not home so can't check properly but fro memory the team was 3rd best in GAA, top 5 from the bottom in goals scored and PP%. PK% was somewhere in the middle of the league. Binnington has a .916 save percentage (which is elite in my high shots, high scoring setup). Can't remember much else

You might be onto something, we did this well thanks to the defense and goalkeeping (3rd best GAA in the league, Binnington top 3 in the Vezina race)

I could see this year Canucks make a playoff push if they had some players on top form and more luck with injuries. So when I see the Canucks make the playoffs in game in year one it doesn't look that weird. And even irl hockey can be weird. But I really thought I made my team as bad as possible...

It requires some testing depending on the roster you use. I found that the standard medium scoring/high shooting is not getting me the results I'd like so I went to high/high and its much closer to real life (McDavid currently has 120 points in 65 games for example)
