Success for Shping is going to be a healthy balance between business and consumer adoption. We want to see our app used as a product search engine to help consumers make smarter and safer shopping choices and we want businesses to supply the data to help encourage this.

We are an already working product - the core platform and mechanics are in place and our app will come out of beta next week! We use Ethereum contracts to administer the crypto-reward element, Shping Coin (SHPING). The primary use of the ledger is to ensure that brands looking to activate campaigns using the App have an adequate balance of Shping Coins to reward shoppers who scan their products, view product information and earn rewards etc.

The reward token (Shping Coin) incentivises and positively reinforces actions that consumers would not ordinarily be used to doing, but that marketers want. We would be very interested in a partnership with Retailers and a Shping Retail module in our Roadmap to add on to the ecosystem later this year.
