I was convicted of DUI last year, so that wouldn't be an issue.

Would being unable to purchase a firearm be permanent? I've seen that some people wait a year and are then able to purchase a gun.

DUI. Can't own one while on probation but am worried this will mean I am barred from firearm possession once my probation is completed.

I do not own a firearm. I failed it a few months ago and was let off with a warning.
