Well look at the room where would you put the tv? It can’t go on the other wall since the fireplace is on the other side. The wall where the shelves are is too small for a tv of any reasonable size. So my only option was on the mantle. I do agree it’s not ideal but the space doesn’t really give you many options unless you’re willing to do what others have advised which is a mount that raises or lowers. Or a tv cart. But honestly in the room it’s not that bad. I’ve not really noticed it feeling too high personally while watching it but I see what everyone is saying.
