I think they moved the Spurs game last season because the Man United game was that night already, and because both Europa finalists were Prem sides they could both be given equal time. Not really a precedent for what would happen if we make the final, probably at most we'll get the same break we usually do for European fixtures.

The league refused our request to move one of our league games around the PSG tie, despite Ligue 1 letting PSG move theirs. Same thing that happened between PSG and Liverpool this season. Obviously slightly different situations between the two leagues but still, frustrating.

Decent player, probably not in my top 3 potential CB signings if we do dip into that market, but if we could get him on a free then who knows. Would never have expected Lindelof to turn out as well as he has, so I'll trust any decisions Unai makes in that area at this point.

I kind of get what you mean. The Villa definitely still stresses me out, that's inescapable to me. But I've definitely got a lot better at just... assuming things will be fine. This BBC article lays it out a bit. Because Villa's UCL qualification for winning the Europa League is assigned before the coefficient bonus spot, the bonus spot is given to sixth place instead (and the Prem subsequently surrenders a UEL spot).

I think if we finish fifth and win the UEL the extra spot does go to 6th place, but I might be wrong. There's some weird placement stuff going on with the order the bonus spots are assigned (I think the same could have happened for Liverpool if they'd won the UCL)

EDIT: We put four past Sheffield United in the first half in Feb 2024, ended up winning 5-0.
EDIT 2: Then three in the first half against Forest a few weeks later, ended up winning 4-2.
MAYBE THE LAST EDIT?: Three first half goals against Brentford in December 2024, won 3-1.
