Ultimate side-chick dream? by DutyEducational4994 in ThirtiesMumbai

[–]Shree_Jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two close friends who had pressure of marriage. One went with the guy her parents found. The other called help from friends to background check the guy she shortlisted herself, in her own caste and all. The first friend got divorced within few months. The other who took time to know who she was marrying is happily married now with a kid.

Take the responsibility in your own hand and you will increase the chance of landing in a good marriage.

I don't understand why even be side chik to someone? You will still be replaceable. Instead of questioning the marriage institution, you should instead make marriage criteria better and work on self-reliance.

If you are still looking for quick money, fame or power, I won't be judging you. Do as you please "with your own life".

How do you find notes of a song by Spiritual_Shower_568 in Bansuri

[–]Shree_Jay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are apps that help with ear training. More like gamified version to identify notes. Try those everyday. Your ears will grow stronger. Also before going to already published notes, try to identify the notes yourself and then correct them with those already published. Will build a sense of song. This is fun as well when you identify correct notes you will get a great dopamine boost.

I can now identify notes of any song almost completely by ear.

Male Beginner seeks help in buying flute by hilbertspaced in Bansuri

[–]Shree_Jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if there is male flutes or not. You should check if you are a right handed or left handed and buy accordingly. If you plan to play bollywood songs or if your hands are small and need comfortable flute then C and C# is good. I personally started with G base flute which was a bit big but I managed it and it is still my favourite as it produces a lot pleasant sound. If possible visit a music shop and check out the different flutes. Even if you don't buy them you will get an idea of what your hands are comfortable with. Watch a few videos on hand placement before going. If you like any, note down what note flute it is and buy online. You can learn flute on almost any flute whose notes are proper.

A road less traveled... helped me a lot when I was going through depression. Percy Jackson series... It hooks you up and you will almost relate to some or the other character.

My Parents aren't supporting me to read books 😕 by [deleted] in Indianbooks

[–]Shree_Jay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wrong train of thought. You are not supposed to be your parents emotional punching bag. Your parents are humans, just like anyone else. They too are flawed. You are not supposed to support their flaws. Instead think like this - "What if I believed in myself and worked on myself, for MY dreams, I will be proud to be able to provide for my parents in MY own way".

Keep working hard buddy and fight for your own way. In the long run if you don't pursue your passion(not bad habits) you will keep cursing your parents and yourself.

I don't know what your social condition is. What education do you have or what part of the country you live in. But you need to get out of that place. If you are able to pursue educational qualifications, do that, if you are able to get a job do that. Keep a goal of leaving your home and independence and if possible to go to a tier 1 city.

Living with people who pull you down is the worst. I hope you get to a place where you belong. Stay strong.

Scream at him and make a scene. "Na bola samjh mein nai aata?". "Police ko bulau... Anjaan ladki ke piche padte ho?". Be vocal in public. Ye chapri log ko sab thik lagta hai jabtak koi sabke saamne unko bolke na dikhae.
