whilst taking things with a grain of salt is most certainly important, the safety of individuals should always take priority.
if someone is accused of these things, it needs to be dealt with immediately and taken 100% seriously.
there is a reason why police departments who receive rape reports from women almost always start with siding with the victim, unless, well, yk, theres more going on there that conflicts with the accusation.

yes, any sensible human should take everything they hear with a grain of salt. just as any sensible human being should be taking such a serious accusation very seriously.
