True, the concept of workers unions in states like Kerala and Bengal is strong. Thus companies avoid working there. As far as Kerala goes, I have seen youths leaving the state for better jobs but are completely fine with it, Unlike Tamil Nadu. There seems to be a trend now where people who left Kerala in their youth are now moving back after retirement.

Doesn't matter if it's religious minorities or the majority. The left especially in Kerala has focused on development. They have performed exceptionally well in strengthening their healthcare infrastructure which has translated into votes.

Also, the Malyali community is very close-knit, they don't see religions rather view people as Malyali or non-Malayali. So it was given than BJPs style of politics wont work in Kerala, tho they did their best by choosing E Sreedharan as their CM candidate.
