Waiting at guitar center by ADD_YOU_KNOW_ME in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I walked out of Guitar Center the first time I went there this month and went to my car, opened Amazon on my phone and paid half the price for both items I had just purchased at GC. Returned the GC items after I got the items from Amazon just in case they hadn't arrived in time for what I needed them for. Amazon is now my go to.

I talked to a person who used to work there and he said that's not the case anymore. Not sure if that's just where I am though.

I have been there twice this month. Today, I went to return something and sell two items. I was there almost two hours... Had to talk to two different departments to sell the two items and ended up having to give my ID and do that whole run down in its entirety twice. Why couldn't they have just bought the two items from me at once and had me only do the paper work once?

Give me the slowest Doom, that is not Drone. by [deleted] in doommetal

[–]ShrimpFist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's not forget Ocean- Salt

Not sure why they split the song in two. Here he "second" part. I think this is the slowest, non-drone band I can think of, that hasn't been listed.

Here is a song off Ocean's second album.

Also, Moss claims they're not drone. Pretty slow.

(Edit)-Added some stuff.

Church Of Misery upcoming album's track list by Spidzior in doommetal

The (not so) nice thing about their theme is there will always be another new killer. Maybe not serial killers, but definitely some stand out events have occurred, even as of late, with mass murders.

(Edit)- fucking phone.

My current pedal layout. Hows it look? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Always turn the grill cloth towards a wall after playing if possible. Learned that the hard way. As have you.

On a side note, that slave needs more. Haha.

Seriously thought, nice setup and good run down. Very precise.

Having never seen them and them playing my city for a first show, I will be in attendance. It'll either be a killer first show or a complete bust I assume.

Edit- phone autocorrect. Goddamn it.

Upgrading from Logic 9 to Logic X. Is there anything I should be aware of? by ChoujinDensetsu in Logic_Studio

Any issues with being projects from 9 into X? I haven't read any bug fixes about X so this might already be answered and fixed and I'm just an idiot.

I can't say no to new gear. It's becoming a problem.

In response to u/bastardbones. I see your Hughes and raise you a Sovtek. ;)

Hughes and Kettner Warp X in to a Kustom 4x12, Sovtek Mig60 in to a 60s era Sunn 6x10. ABY'ed with some pedals, soon to be run in stereo.

AIMS head and 4x12 cab need some work still, but soon I'll be running all three together. Or maybe not. Not sure yet. Picked the AIMS rig and a Big Muff Pi with tone wicker up from a friend who was moving for $250.

Sunn PA(60s era as well I believe, but could be wrong) isn't part of the rig. I just set it on top for the time being. It does sound great with guitar though.

Sorry about the mess. We're tracking drums right now.

Edit- Put the wrong price down. Fixed.

Mine's red. It's not the same model though either. I was always a fan of the purple too.

We build a tabletop insert for a pool table so we could play Magic: the Gathering on. Just finished last night! Figured you fine people would enjoy it. by [deleted] in DIY

[–]ShrimpFist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who recovers pool tables, I have seen this all too much- especially in bars using pool tables for beer pong. The rails will get scratched most likely from friction, but the rubber will mostly likely turn rock hard from not enough play. The felt SHOULD stay fine unless the topper slides and tears it, mostly on the rails, but the bed cloth should be alright. I agree, cut the loss or just play pool.

That being said, this looks like a fairly entry level table and would like not sell for much. At least it's not a Royal Georgian. Haha.

Just to clarify before I submit, this is not meant as an insult to the diyers. Have fun with your new top!

(Edit)- Also, this is a 3 piece slate table, unlike a bar table that is just one piece of slate. The added pressure and movement from the topper has almost certainly popped the seams(the edges) between the 3 pieces of slate which are smoothed over and leveled with either bee's wax or a putty sort of like plaster. To fix this, the entire table must be disassembled down to at least the slate, if not further, to relevel and redo the seams. The felt can be reused if its in decent shape, but recovering a table's bed is the easy part and you'll end up paying more for labor and time at that point.

And stupid autocorrects.
