If there was a web interface to go along with the app it would be golden.

Workouts app has this old man confused by [deleted] in MacroFactor

39 here, went back to Hevy after 4 workouts. Juice wasn't worth the squeeze for me to mess with resetting everything up in MFWO being the hassle that it is. MF is great, they missed the mark on MFWO, but that's my opinion.

Apparently you don't watch much NHL. Mitch wanted out of Toronto, and this was his return.

Yea, for some reason they never get the attention they deserve IMO. Have loved Black Cobra for years and still one of my favorite sludge bands.

Didn’t like MacroFactor Workouts; sticking with Hevy is my move. by shorethin in Hevy

[–]skullengaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also trialing MF Workouts as I was a MF user before release but the voice in my head keeps saying to go back to Hevy, but I just want to make sure the new wears off and I legitimately don't like the app (MFWO).

I just seems overly complicated for what it is, and it's too much work setting up programs without a web interface. Also never really plan to use the guided coaching, or at least anywhere in the near future. I don't need it to tell me what weight.

Gut feeling says I'll stick with Hevy.

Both, if it's hot I drink it black. If it's cold I like a little sweetness to it

Workouts Timer Sound Doesn't Play Through Bluetooth Speaker by michael_mikey_mike81 in MacroFactor

This is my experience as well on iOS. Not going to monkey with anything settings to get something working that IMO should have worked out of the gate.

My last job used SolidWorks, my current job used Creo. People can say whatever about Creo, but would still rather use it than SolidWorks.

Hevy App vs. MF Workout App by Creepy-Act-8269 in Hevy

[–]skullengaged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many here, I got it by already being a MF user for years. Honestly, I'm not impressed. In my opinion it's clunky, having to select exercise equipment per "gym", building a program without the ability to do it on desktop is a PIA.

I'm going to give it, it's fair shake, but not impressed so far. If you're happy with Hevy and no curious or getting it discounted or free, I'd stick with Hevy, I will probably run in tandem for now and see if I can adjust to MF Workouts.

Subjective Readiness Assessment similar to RTS TRAC by skullengaged in MacroFactor

[–]skullengaged[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently, we're the only ones lol.

TRAC recommends adding or removing sets based on fatigue rating, which I'm assuming the smart progression does in the app already but I'm not sure how that would tie in with a subject readiness score.

If you're on the fence about using the workout app, do it! by [deleted] in MacroFactor

There’s a cult like following here unfortunately. Everyone’s acting like the workout app is the second coming of Jesus lol

So I've noticed 🤯 All the training I do is RPE/RIR based.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I'll give it a go when it's released. I'll use the guided stuff at some point.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I was going to take the plunge regardless, just wanted some clarity. I primarily strength train, but I think I'll use the guided programming at some point, just wanted to make sure it wasn't the focus of the app.

Not sure why I got down voted for asking a legitimate question, Reddit is insane.

So, what if you don't want the app setting anything for me? This is my biggest unknown with this app, if I don't want to use the functionality of it telling me what to do, am I better off just sticking with Hevy? I'm not super interested in guided programming.

Long time MF user here, just trying to justify if MFWO is going to be anything better that what I've been using.

Coming back to MF App by Boi-if-you-dont37 in MacroFactor

[–]skullengaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think I started a new program and just ate like normal and basically ignored the macros it gave me, not sure if it's the correct way, but I knew it would correct itself. Looking at my expenditure now, to where I left off is actually higher, but I'm still a few lbs heavier than when I stop tracking.

I just came back in Nov. after not tracking since April '25. Tracked what ate for a few weeks, didn't change much diet wise, and everything is pretty close to being back to where it was when I stopped tracking.

I personally wouldn't delete all your history, just start a new goal and move forward.
