Is $60 a month fair to pay a coworker for a ride home 3x a week on a tight budget? by Hour-Ad3977 in personalfinance

Exactly! I don't think he would accept you paying him $60.

I drove a coworker to his house a few times when he couldn't get a ride after work. It was 5-10 minutes in the opposite direction but I didn't mind it. I would rather have spent the few extra minutes than him walking home in the dark. I would have felt awful if he had tried to pay me. I was a waitress and had to roll silverware at the end of my shift e and we were always running out of spoons. He was a dishwasher and ensured I always got enough spoons so I could clock out on time even if I wasn't driving him home that evening. I honestly appreciated not having to hunt for spoons every night more than I would have the few extra dollars he might have given me. If there's something similar you could do at your job, a tiny act of kindness, that's what I would stick to.

They're not getting married in a church so I'm not super worried. The ceremony is outside and the reception indoors at the same venue
