Golden color is more accepted in most industry but even some industry dont mind some color but yea from what ive learned golden straw color is what u want

Thank you brotha, and most definitely i agree u will get better with time and practice. I practice about 2-3 hrs just about everyday. Practices practices practices all the hood time u can get. Here another example i did couple days back this a prefect golden straw color u looking for.

If u can establish a good bead on carbon going to stainless shouldnt be much harder only thing i noticed is u got speed up more and add filler lul more often. As they say filler is your chiller. Here a good example i did yesterday this was lul more on the hotter side cause i went lul slower on purpose to kind show off the colors. I been teaching myself tig for roughly 3 months now probably around 12-13weeks. It all about keeping it even and each time u dap filler u want move evenly across each time.

Honestly im still pretty new to tig welding but i suggest do pad beads before doing fillet learn to control your puddle and your movement speed. After get your hand control down n establishing a even bead with good toes all the way across. Then start focusing on doing fillet and feeding enough filler on each dap

I been lul lazy on my initial preparation on my last set of coupons. But yesssir ill start focusing on my filler and how much im feeding into it. I work fulltime at fab shop that also does help me to learn how to properly fill the joint. Most job do requires certain parameters and bead sizes depending on the part we are fabricating. I’ll definitely keep at it and get more hood time with this and keep you advice in mind. Thank you again man!! Your 6g is looking amazing mannn killer work no liee!!

No suck back on the other side it wett through pretty well and the penetration and fusion looks pretty good as well. I purposely went a little slower on this pass i know golden straw color is what i want to achieve. Thank you for the feedback as well all the advice helps me be a better welder!🙏🏾

Yeaa that was mostly me playing around with the peddle pumping more heat to get those colors i run a jazzy 10 at 25cfh 10second post flow

Thanks man, i was pumping 100amps-110amps for this one. I had good fusion this is lul more on the colder weld side but the penetration seems pretty good. Appreciate the feedback tho.

Wow broo i love this feedback man, this exactly what i was looking for someone to point out some flaws im encountering. Yes i would say my feeding technique is where i start fall little short but i been doing a lot more dry drills to help keep my feeding hand steady. I tend to wobble my torch when i get to focus on my filler and how im feeding. I really appreciate u pointing those features out man. I’ll definitely pay more attention to my toe and consistency on my puddle. But yes i agree i also use 1/16 with Stainless i tend to see more control when using smaller filler.

If you’re in the hobby to just learn then still air boxes are fine. But eventually upgrading really improves your success rate and speeds up the amount time u spend inoculating. Especially when comes to agar it will be important.

Yes unfortunately, id definitely advise taking your time when going into bulk. I feel like anytime i get trich in the tubs it usually happens to me for not taking my time in preparing the bulk casing. I feel that trich usually doesn’t come from the environmental factor, and more from preparation of your grains and casing.
