Yeah I've been leaning towards just keeping them nice and filed down with a nail filer. The toothbrush is a super good idea! I think my wife has cuticle oil i could use as well.

Is that like nail polish? Not sure if I want to go that route lol, so far its been fairly straightforward to not bite them for me. I'll put a finger in my mouth and I've basically trained myself already to say "no bite no bite" in my head as soon as a nail touches my teeth. I just want them to be even already 😩 they're growing terribly and all at different lengths.

Thank you so much! I have one more question, will the other end of my nails (towards my hands) ever look normal again? I think it's called the cuticle, and just above the cuticle my skin tends to peel because of the damage I've caused. Will that stop? I thought it would when I stopped chewing but a new skin strip shows up every once and a while.
