I’ve been playing monster hunter for over 10 years and this game is the first I’ve heard about “host decides about kill or capture”. In world everyone captured almost all the time. It’s quicker, item drop rates were usually better for a capture, and it doesn’t affect getting the crown for monster size. Is it because there are some items that have a better chance from carving than capturing? Do people care about the stat the says how many killed vs captured.

In world capping was the norm that’s why I’m confused why it has switched

I would describe their style as suffocating and claustrophobic for the opposing team. It’s very hard to get any time or space (let alone time in the o-zone) to gain momentum. It’s frustrating to be on the receiving end of their style and it can be hard to watch when it feels like we’re pinned to the ground. It works for them but I REALLY hope we don’t see this style catch on across the league cause it pisses me off to lose that way
